CityVibes ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by the CityVibes Team. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the CityVibes mobile application ("App").
By using CityVibes, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:
a) Information you provide directly
Phone number — collected when you sign in using OTP (One-Time Password) verification. This is used to create and secure your account.
Name — your display name shown on your profile and on items you post.
Profile photo — optional, if you choose to upload one.
Location / City — the city you select (for example, Seoni or Chhindwara) so we can show you local listings, offers, and events.
Seller details — if you register as a seller, we collect your shop or business name and address.
GST Number and PAN details — collected only if you choose to apply for "Verified Seller" status. This information is used solely to verify your business and is treated as confidential.
Listings you create — products, offers, classifieds, and events you post, including titles, descriptions, prices, images, and the contact number you provide.
b) Information collected automatically
Notification token (FCM token) — a unique identifier provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging, used to send you push notifications about new offers, classifieds, and events in your city.
Basic usage and device information — collected through Firebase services to keep the App running reliably and to diagnose crashes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account.
Verify your identity through phone number (OTP) login.
Display your listings (products, offers, classifieds, events) to other users in your city.
Allow buyers to contact sellers through the contact details provided.
Verify seller businesses using GST and PAN details when "Verified Seller" status is requested.
Send you push notifications about new local listings, offers, and events.
Improve the App's performance and fix technical issues.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your information is stored securely using Google Firebase services (including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage). Firebase is a platform provided by Google, and your data is processed and stored on Google's secure servers.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Sensitive information such as GST and PAN details is used only for seller verification and is not shared publicly or with other users.
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Information Shared With Other Users
Please note that some information is publicly visible to other users of the App by design:
Your name and profile photo.
The listings you post (products, offers, classifieds, events), including the title, description, price, images, and the contact number you provide.
Your shop or business name and city, if you are a seller.
Your phone number used for login, GST number, and PAN details are not shown publicly to other users.
Do not post any private or sensitive information in your listings that you do not wish to be visible to the public.
5. Third-Party Services
CityVibes uses the following third-party services, which may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Listings such as offers may be automatically removed after their valid-till date.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at helpcityvibes@gmail.com. We will process your request within a reasonable time.

You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your account and personal data.

8. Children's Privacy
CityVibes is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
