If you want long battery life, wireless freedom, and fun cat-ear styling for airplane travel, choose LOBKIN 5.4; if you need a wired connection that guarantees safety volume limits, durability, and a two-pack value for school or car rides, choose Candy Bila 2.
• LOBKIN 5.4: Best for kids who need Bluetooth freedom and RGB lighting, but it relies on passive noise cancellation rather than active tech. Ideal for the child who wants to be stylish and wireless during flights.
• Candy Bila 2: Best for parents prioritizing strict volume safety (85dB limit) and durable ABS construction, but it lacks Bluetooth and requires a USB-C cable. Perfect for a family needing a second pair for siblings on the go.
The LOBKIN 5.4 is designed with a distinct personality that appeals directly to children. Its most striking feature is the over-ear design featuring rotatable cat ears with RGB LED lights. This isn't just a gimmick; it transforms a standard piece of audio gear into something a kid actually wants to wear. The headphones come in a vibrant purple color scheme, blending modern cartoon aesthetics with functional design. For a child who feels self-conscious about wearing "boring" headphones, this model offers a way to express themselves while staying connected.
Functionally, this device shines where convenience matters most. It supports both Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and a traditional 3.5mm wired mode, giving you flexibility depending on the source device. The battery life is a standout specification, boasting an average life of 30 hours. This is a massive advantage for long-haul travel or multi-day camping trips where charging outlets are scarce. With a wireless range of up to 10 meters, your child can move around the cabin or living room without being tethered to their tablet. The inclusion of a carrying case with a rope makes it easy to grab and go, ensuring the headphones stay protected when not in use.
However, this product has specific limitations you must consider before buying. While it features passive noise cancellation, it does not offer active noise cancellation (ANC). If you are flying in a particularly noisy environment, the sound isolation will rely entirely on the ear cup cushioning. Additionally, the age range description lists "Adult," suggesting the build might be robust enough for teens as well, but the primary marketing targets toddlers and girls. If you need a headset specifically for high-end gaming with a dedicated microphone app, note that while it has a rotatable microphone, the controls are primarily media-based via buttons or an app controller. It is the right choice for a kid who needs wireless playtime and doesn't mind swapping batteries less frequently due to the impressive runtime.

The Candy Bila 2 takes a completely different approach, focusing on safety, durability, and practicality rather than flashy lights. The most critical feature here is the built-in 85dB safe volume limiter. For parents worried about hearing damage from prolonged listening, especially during long car rides or school commutes, this technical specification provides peace of mind that louder models cannot match. The headphones are constructed from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), a hard plastic known for its impact resistance. This means they are built to survive drops, throws, and the general rough handling typical of younger children.
Connectivity is strictly wired via a USB Type-C jack. While some might view the lack of Bluetooth as a drawback, this design choice eliminates the risk of lag, connection drops, or dead batteries mid-flight. The package includes two pairs of headphones in gradient pink and light yellow colors. This two-pack format is a significant logistical win for families with multiple children or those who need a backup set immediately. Each unit features a 40-millimeter dynamic driver, which delivers stereo sound within the safe frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The foldable design ensures they take up minimal space in a backpack or carry-on bag.
This product is ideal for the parent who values reliability over novelty. Because it lacks a battery, there is no waiting time for charging; plug it in, and it works instantly. The sound isolation technology helps block out ambient noise without the need for power-hungry active cancellation chips. However, the trade-off is clear: you are limited by the length of the included cable and the requirement that your device has a USB-C port. If your tablet only has a Lightning port or a 3.5mm jack, you will need an adapter. It is also worth noting that the item weight is 320 grams, which suggests a sturdy build that might feel slightly heavier than ultra-lightweight alternatives. This is the pick for the child who needs a reliable, safe, and shared audio solution for school or family road trips.
• Best for Airplane Travel Wireless Freedom → LOBKIN 5.4. The 30-hour battery and Bluetooth 5.4 capability mean your child can watch movies on the plane without tangled wires or worrying about a dying charge.
• Best for Hearing Safety → Candy Bila 2. The 85dB limit is a hard cap that protects young ears from sudden volume spikes, a feature missing from the LOBKIN specs.
• Best Value for Multiple Kids → Candy Bila 2. Getting two pairs in one box is a superior deal for families with more than one child compared to buying a single unit.
• Best for Durability and Impact Resistance → Candy Bila 2. The ABS enclosure is harder and likely more resistant to crushing or dropping than the sponge and plastic mix of the LOBKIN.
• Best for Battery Life → LOBKIN 5.4. Thirty hours of continuous playback beats any wired headphone, provided you remember to charge the internal cell.
• Best for Immediate Use Without Charging → Candy Bila 2. No battery means zero downtime; it works the moment you plug it into the USB-C port.
• Best for Visual Appeal and Fun → LOBKIN 5.4. The RGB cat ears and purple finish make it a toy-like experience that kids actively seek out.
• Best for Sound Isolation (Passive) → Tie/Context Dependent. Both use passive isolation, but the Candy Bila 2's tight fit and solid build may seal better against low-frequency rumble without ANC.
For a trip for airplane, I would personally choose the LOBKIN 5.4. The combination of 30-hour battery life and wireless Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity solves the biggest pain points of air travel: tangled cords and the fear of a dead battery mid-flight. The ability to listen wirelessly to a tablet without being tethered to a seatback screen or a small USB-C port is a game-changer for keeping a child entertained for long durations. While the Candy Bila 2 offers excellent safety features and a great two-pack value, the sheer convenience of going wireless with a massive battery makes the LOBKIN the superior tool for travel. In my opinion, the fun cat-ear design also helps get a reluctant kid to keep them on for the duration of the flight.
Yes, both work well, but the LOBKIN 5.4 is better for flights due to its wireless Bluetooth 5.4 connection and 30-hour battery life, eliminating the hassle of managing cables and charging.
The LOBKIN 5.4 features a rotatable microphone suitable for calls, whereas the Candy Bila 2 focuses on safe volume and stereo sound without explicitly listing a microphone in its core specifications.
The Candy Bila 2 is explicitly designed with an 85dB safe volume limiter, making it the statistically safer option for preventing hearing damage compared to the unlisted volume caps of the LOBKIN 5.4.
Both support common devices; the Candy Bila 2 uses a direct USB-C connection compatible with modern iPads, while the LOBKIN 5.4 works via Bluetooth or a 3.5mm cable for broader compatibility.
