Have you ever experienced the phenomena of sudden motivation?
What is Sudden Motivation?
You suddenly are hit with a wave of inspiration. You have a great idea for a new project, a book, an invention, an adventure. This idea seems grand, it seems epic. You feel a sense of absolute desire to achieve it, to find it, to create it. You start immediately as that is the only action that can satisfy you. This can be seen as an "Aha!" moment, as Oprah calls it. This is the sudden inspiration that comes when you are not looking for it.
Motivation Factors
Internal - parts of yourself that want something.
desires, ego, emotions, autonomy, curiosity or love.
External - factors that are outside of you that cause you to feel desire for something.
badges or awards, fear of punishment, competition
The ideal motivation is found within. If your entire reason for wanting to achieve something is coming from the outside, you may never be happy with the results. If you are pursing a Masters Degree in Law because your father will be proud, your spouse will be taken care of financially and your children will have a good example set for them, you may not be able to maintain the motivation. Your motivation will lose momentum. I am not saying to stop doing what you are doing. What I am saying is to figure out your WHY, before you begin.
Remember why you started.
