• LNCOON's biggest strength: A true in-ear design with double noise reduction that blocks up to 28dB by sealing the ear canal, plus a tiny 0.4-inch body made for side sleepers.
• LNCOON's biggest trade-off: No active noise cancellation, and each charge lasts only about 4 hours before the case has to top it back up.
• ZHENYEMEI's biggest strength: Ultra-thin 0.25-inch flat speakers sit inside breathable, hypoallergenic bamboo cotton, so nothing presses into your ear at all.
• ZHENYEMEI's biggest trade-off: Open-ear placement means it relies on masking sound rather than sealing out noise, and it's a fabric headband rather than a discreet earbud.
• Pick LNCOON if you want maximum noise blocking and an almost invisible bud that survives tossing and turning.
• Pick ZHENYEMEI if you want cloud-soft fabric, cooler sleep, and a headband you can wear as a sleep mask or during workouts.
The LNCOON Sleep Earbuds are built around one idea: get a real seal in your ear without something bulky digging into your head when you roll onto your side. The buds measure just 0.4 inches in diameter, which is why they can sit almost invisibly in the ear canal and stay there through the night. The silicone enclosure wraps fully around the driver, and LNCOON rates that seal at up to 28dB of passive noise reduction. That's not the same as active noise cancellation, and the spec sheet is upfront about it, but a good physical seal is often what actually quiets a snoring partner or a humming fan.
Battery is where you need to read the numbers carefully. Each bud runs about 4 hours per charge from its 50mAh cell, and the 300mAh case recharges the pair 4 to 5 times, giving a total of around 28 hours. That means a full night of sleep is covered, but you'll be dropping the buds back in the case every morning. The case has an LED display that shows the battery level, so you're never guessing. Bluetooth 5.3 handles the connection with low latency, which also makes these workable for gaming and video, and touch controls let you pause or skip with one hand.
ZHENYEMEI Bamboo Cotton Sleep: Who It's For
ZHENYEMEI takes the opposite approach. Instead of sealing your ear, it puts ultra-thin 0.25-inch flat speakers inside a headband made from natural, hypoallergenic organic bamboo cotton. Nothing enters your ear canal, so there's no pressure point and no "something in my ear" feeling at all. The fabric is moisture-wicking and breathable, which is the whole pitch for hot sleepers, people with sensitive skin, and anyone who wakes up sweaty. If you've ever ripped earbuds out at 3am because they hurt, this is the design that solves that.
The battery story is simpler and longer per charge: roughly 1 to 2 hours to fill up, then up to 14 hours of music or talk time. That comfortably covers a full night plus a nap. Bluetooth 6.0 keeps the link stable across phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. The casing is IPX6 waterproof, built so you can sweat through a workout or get caught in rain, and ZHENYEMEI says you can rinse it when cleaning. The open-ear placement means it sits over or around the ear rather than inside it.
I'd recommend this for hot sleepers, side sleepers who can't tolerate in-ear buds, post-surgery recovery where ears are tender, and anyone who wants one item that works as a sleep mask, a music headband and workout gear. The trade-off is real, though: without a seal, it won't block noise the way an in-ear bud does. It masks sound with your own audio rather than shutting the world out. And it's a grey fabric headband, not a discreet bud you can wear in a meeting.

My Verdict
If I had to pick one, I'd buy the LNCOON Sleep Earbuds. In my opinion, the sealed in-ear fit is the single feature that matters most for sleep, because blocking up to 28dB of noise does more for falling asleep next to a snorer than any amount of soft fabric. The 0.4-inch size means side sleepers get the noise reduction without the usual ear pain, and the 28-hour total battery means the case just lives on the nightstand.
That said, I'd steer you to the ZHENYEMEI Bamboo Cotton Sleep without hesitation if your ears reject anything inserted, if you overheat at night, or if you want one headband that doubles as workout gear. It's the more comfortable all-nighter; LNCOON is the better silencer.
Both are designed with side sleepers in mind, but they solve it differently. LNCOON uses 0.4-inch in-ear buds that don't protrude, while ZHENYEMEI uses a soft bamboo cotton headband with 0.25-inch flat speakers. If pressure inside your ear bothers you, the headband wins; if you want a seal, the buds win.
Do the LNCOON Sleep Earbuds have active noise cancellation?
No. LNCOON uses double noise reduction through a fully wrapped silicone seal, rated to block up to 28dB of noise. That's passive isolation, not ANC, and the spec sheet states this clearly. It works well on steady noise like fans and traffic, less so on sharp, sudden sounds.
Yes. It has an IPX6 waterproof casing and ZHENYEMEI says you can rinse it when cleaning, so sweat and rain aren't a problem. LNCOON's buds are silicone-sealed in-ear models aimed at sleep, focus, travel and exercise, but the data sheet doesn't list a water-resistance rating for them.
Both are sold on Amazon, and prices change often, so I'd compare the current price on Amazon before deciding. Rather than chase the cheaper listing, match the design to your sleep style: a sealed bud for noise, a fabric headband for comfort.
