LMac Viewer is designed for a special, limited audience of authorized users who require read-only access to Ledgerly data. It is intended as a companion viewer and does not provide users with the ability to create, modify, delete, or otherwise alter Ledgerly records.
The app is designed with privacy in mind. Your Ledgerly data remains on your device and is not uploaded to, collected by, or stored on servers operated by LMac Viewer.
This Privacy Policy explains how LMac Viewer handles information when you use the application.
LMac Viewer is not intended as a general-purpose accounting or ledger application. It is provided for a specific audience of users who have been given access to review Ledgerly information without modifying it.
Users of LMac Viewer have read-only access to the Ledgerly data made available to them. The application is designed to allow authorized users to:
View entities and their details
Search and filter available records
Review statements and transaction history
View billed, credited, paid, and outstanding amounts
Generate or export statements where permitted
View associated notes
LMac Viewer does not allow users to edit the underlying Ledgerly database, create transactions, change balances, modify entity records, or delete Ledgerly records.
Access to a Ledgerly backup through LMac Viewer does not grant ownership of that data or permission to use it for purposes beyond those authorized by the person or organization providing access.
LMac Viewer does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your personal information or Ledgerly business datawith the developer or third parties.
LMac Viewer does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or other identifying information to use the app.
The app does not intentionally use:
Advertising networks
Third-party analytics
User tracking
Cross-app tracking
Marketing profiles
Remote databases operated by LMac Viewer
Cloud-based processing of your Ledgerly data
LMac Viewer processes Ledgerly JSON backup files that you choose to open or that have been made available to you by an authorized person or organization.
Depending on the backup, these files may contain information such as:
Entity or customer names
Tag numbers
Addresses
Cities and states
Notes
Billing items
Bills and credit notes
Payments
Remarks
Transaction history
Outstanding balances and other financial information
This information is processed locally on your device for the purpose of displaying Ledgerly records and generating statements and exports.
LMac Viewer does not upload this information to servers controlled by the developer.
LMac Viewer may access a backup folder or backup file selected by you or provided for your authorized use. Where supported, the app may remember access to the selected location so it can load the latest Ledgerly backup from that folder.
Access is used only to provide the app’s read-only viewing functionality.
LMac Viewer allows you to select or import a Ledgerly backup through Apple’s Files interface.
The app only receives access to files that you choose or that the operating system otherwise makes available to the app.
Searching, filtering, sorting, balance calculations, statement generation, and other database-viewing functions are performed on your device.
Your Ledgerly data is not sent to the developer for these operations.
The underlying Ledgerly records remain read-only within LMac Viewer.
LMac Viewer includes notes functionality. Notes and any information loaded from a selected notes file are processed locally on your device.
Notes functionality does not provide the ability to modify the underlying Ledgerly accounting or transaction records.
You are responsible for the information you choose to place in notes and for securing any files containing those notes.
LMac Viewer can generate CSV and PDF files containing information from your Ledgerly backup.
These exports are created at your request and do not modify the original Ledgerly database.
Once you save, share, print, copy, or otherwise export a file outside LMac Viewer, its handling is governed by the destination you select. For example, a file shared through email, cloud storage, messaging software, a printer, or another application may be processed according to that service’s own privacy practices.
LMac Viewer does not control third-party services to which you choose to send exported information.
When you choose to print a statement, the document is provided to the printing services available through your operating system.
Printers, print servers, network printing systems, or third-party printing software may process the document independently of LMac Viewer.
LMac Viewer may store information locally when required for normal app functionality, such as app preferences, selected-file information, or notes-related settings.
Ledgerly records viewed through the app remain locally available through the backup files you select.
The developer does not maintain a remote copy of your Ledgerly database through LMac Viewer.
LMac Viewer does not share your Ledgerly data or personal information with the developer, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Information may leave the app only when you initiate an action, such as:
Saving an exported CSV or PDF
Sharing a document through the operating system’s share functionality
Printing a statement
Moving or copying a Ledgerly backup
Opening an exported file in another application
Any third-party service you choose to use may have its own privacy policy and data-handling practices.
Because LMac Viewer is intended for a limited audience with read-only access, users should only open, view, export, or share Ledgerly information that they are authorized to access.
Ledgerly backups may contain confidential business, customer, financial, or contact information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information made available to them and for complying with any access restrictions imposed by the data owner or their organization.
Read-only access within LMac Viewer does not prevent a user from creating an external copy through permitted export, sharing, printing, or screenshot functionality. Users should therefore handle all viewed and exported information appropriately.
LMac Viewer does not use your Ledgerly data for advertising.
The app does not use Ledgerly records to track you across apps, websites, or services.
LMac Viewer’s core Ledgerly viewing functionality is designed to operate without sending your Ledgerly database to a developer-operated online service.
Your device or operating system may independently communicate with Apple or other services for system-level functions unrelated to the processing of your Ledgerly database by LMac Viewer.
If you download LMac Viewer through Apple’s App Store, Apple may process information relating to downloads, purchases, diagnostics, or your Apple account according to Apple’s own policies.
That information is controlled by Apple and is separate from Ledgerly backup data processed locally by LMac Viewer.
Because Ledgerly backups may contain sensitive business, contact, and financial information, you should protect your device and backup files appropriately.
Recommended precautions include using:
A device passcode or password
FileVault on supported Macs
Appropriate iOS device security
Secure storage for backup files
Trusted locations when exporting or sharing statements
No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and users remain responsible for controlling access to their devices, backup files, and exported documents.
Because LMac Viewer does not maintain a developer-operated database containing your Ledgerly information, the developer does not retain copies of your Ledgerly records through the app.
You can remove Ledgerly information from your device by deleting the relevant backup files, imported files, notes, or exported documents through the appropriate system tools.
You may also uninstall LMac Viewer to remove app-specific locally stored data, subject to the behavior of your operating system and any files you have separately saved outside the app.
LMac Viewer is a specialized business and financial-record viewing utility intended for an authorized, limited audience and is not directed toward children.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
LMac Viewer processes Ledgerly information locally on the user’s device rather than transferring that database to developer-operated servers.
If you choose to export or share information using third-party services, those services may process information in other countries according to their own policies.
Ledgerly backups may contain personal information relating to customers, clients, suppliers, employees, or other individuals.
If you are granted access to this information through LMac Viewer, you are responsible for using it only for authorized purposes and for ensuring that your viewing, storage, export, printing, and sharing of that information complies with applicable laws, contractual obligations, organizational policies, and confidentiality requirements.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if LMac Viewer’s functionality or privacy practices change.
When material changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy will be revised.
Continued use of LMac Viewer after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
