What is the Science Fair?

Science Fair is completely voluntary! It's a chance to have fun with science and explore what interests you. Typically, students will do an experiment and follow the scientific method. But this year, it's all virtual, so it's completely up to you! Move over presentation boards... bring on the FlipGrid videos!!

What do I do?

  1. Register for the Science Fair! Click on the link above and fill out the Google Form.

  2. Partner up! Team projects are encouraged this year, as long as precautions are made to be COVID-19 safe! No more than 4 students on a team, please. All team members must submit their own video for prizes.

  3. Choose your topic! What are you curious about? What makes you wonder? What gets you excited? (If you're not sure, check out the Resources tab for help!)

  4. Get to work! Create a hypothesis. (What do you think will happen?) Do research or an experiment to see if you are right! Or find someone who works as a scientist and interview them!

  5. Share your conclusions! Was your hypothesis correct, incorrect, or inconclusive? Are you left with new questions?

  6. Share your work! We will send you a join code where you can post a Flipgrid of your work. You can record your experiment or just report what you investigated. You can get crafty and create a presentation board to share. Or create a Google Slides presentation and screen share that in your video. (Videos are limited to 3 minutes.)
