City of Worthington voters will be asked on Tuesday, November  7, 2023 to elect 3 Worthington City Council members. 

Get to know Amy Lloyd  who is a candidate for Worthington City Council on November 7, 2023

Amy has established herself as an involved community member. She is aware of the successes and challenges for both the City of Worthington and Worthington Schools. She wants to help proactively plan for the future of our community by working towards Vision Worthington's goals and economic sustainability. 

Amy is a 18 year resident of the City of Worthington, living with her family in the Worthington Estates neighborhood. She grew up in the greater Worthington community since 1979 and is a 1996 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High School. Amy’s involvement with local government began in 2008 when she was appointed by Worthington City Council to the Architectural Review Board, where she served for 12 years. In 2019, Amy was elected to the Worthington Schools Board of Education, where she has served for the last 4 years. Her term ends at the end of 2023. 

Amy has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Kent State University and has spent her career in the design and construction industry. She has been a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) since 2009. Amy has been involved with the Worthington community as a member of Worthington Women's Club, Worthington Historical Society and Sustainable Worthington. She is also involved in her children’s schools (Worthington Estates Elementary and Thomas Worthington High School), an active Girl Scout leader, TWHS marching band parent and as a supporter of youth and TWHS softball.

Amy is a firm believer that Worthington is a great place to live and raise a family. She loves to learn from the history of our community, reflect on the past and look towards the future in a thoughtful and sustainable way.
