This Privacy Policy describes how the LLM Chat Fluff Remover Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles user data. The Extension is designed to prepend custom system instructions to messages on supported AI platforms to improve response quality.
The Extension collects and processes the following information:
User-Provided Instructions: The "System Instructions" text you enter into the Extension's popup interface.
Status State: Whether the Extension is currently "Paused" or "Resumed".
This data is used exclusively to facilitate the core functionality of the Extension: automatically injecting your preferred instructions into the chat input fields of supported LLM websites.
The Extension does not transmit your data to any external servers owned by the developer.
Local Storage: Your settings are stored using the chrome.storage.sync API.
Google Sync: If you have Chrome Sync enabled, this data may be synced across your devices by Google to ensure your preferences are available wherever you use the Extension.
The Extension does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. Because the Extension functions by injecting text into chat boxes on third-party sites (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok), any instructions injected will be visible to those specific platforms as part of your normal chat interaction.
Storage: Required to save your custom prompts so you do not have to re-enter them.
ActiveTab: Required to interact with the chat interface you are currently using to inject the text.
Host Permissions: Required for the Extension to function on specific AI domains (e.g., gemini.google.com, chatgpt.com).
If you have any questions regarding this privacy policy, you may contact the developer, Daniel Barckley, via the Chrome Web Store support links.
