Walk in the shoes of China's first and only Emperor, Wu Zetian! Discover her story and help her on her path to the dragon throne.
From returning from the Nunnery after the late Emperor death, to securing the throne for her own children, Wu Zetian's story is full of intrigue and cunning.
This is a custom scenario add-on for The Royalty Mod.

To begin the scenario, navigate to the main screen.
Here, you will find ‘Play Scenario’.
Click on ‘Play Now’ under Path to the Dragon Throne.

You will be prompted to create a new household within a new save.
If you have premade sims for this scenario, you can still safely import them from the gallery into CAS!
Once entering Create-A-Sim, you will see this pop up on the right:
These are the sim requirements for the challenge.
In order for the scenario to recognise your sims, they must comply with these requirements.
Wu Zetian must be an adult female, the Emperor must be a young adult male, and the empress must be a young adult female.
You may call your sims whatever you like, it will not affect the mechanics of the mod however it is suggested that you use the historical names as they would make more sense.
Once you have made your sims, enter into the game!
A few moments after entering, you will be greeted with the first notification.
This scenario is designed as a narrative, so each stage passed and each goal successfully achieved will be greeted with a notification explaining the impact and moving the story forward.
(If you usually play with music/audio off, you may want to turn it on as these notifications have custom sound effects and some are voiced!)
As you play, you can keep track of your goals in this tab to the left of the screen.
If another event begins, it will open another tab and you can always switch between them, so no need to worry about losing it!
If you have any trouble completing a task, or are confused by it, hover over it and you will get more information.
Once a task has been completed, a tick will show next to it. Once all tasks for that stage are completed, it will move onto the next stage automatically.

Due to the nature of this expansion, I have included a very small feature from my concubines update WIP.
Concubines can be appointed by the Monarch, and each Concubine will uncover a secret skill in which they excel at.
These skills include; dancing, singing, flower arranging, music, herbology, artistry and speech.
To give this trait, have your Monarch be your active sim, and click on the sim you would like to make concubine and choose 'Take As Concubine', which is under the regular titles menu.
