Swim Lessons: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM classes are optional

Overview:
Our swim lesson instructors are key members of the aquatics team, responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction to students of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to more advanced swimmers. This role involves teaching foundational swimming skills, promoting water safety, and facilitating stroke development. The instructor will create a supportive and engaging learning environment, ensuring student safety and fostering skill improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction: Conduct swim lessons for beginner levels (Levels 1, 2, and 3), ensuring each student learns basic swimming skills and water safety and feels comfortable in the water.
Advanced Teaching: For instructors with a strong swimming background, teach advanced classes (Levels 4, 5, and 6) focused on stroke development and refinement. Training for advanced classes will be provided for subbing purposes but optional to reach recurringly.
Class Management: Monitor classes of up to four students, guaranteeing their safety, promoting a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring progress in their swimming abilities.
Safety First: Prioritize the safety of all students by enforcing pool rules, monitoring student behavior, and applying best practices for aquatic safety.
Facility Upkeep: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the aquatic facility before and after swim classes, contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other instructors and pool staff to coordinate lesson schedules, discuss student progress, and ensure a cohesive swim program.
Qualifications:
Loves kids and working with kids of all ages!
Passion for swimming and teaching, with a friendly and patient demeanor.
Prior experience in swim instruction or a strong background in competitive swimming is optional, but it is recommended. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Familiarity with all four competitive strokes is advantageous for those interested in teaching advanced levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with children and ensuring a positive learning experience.

Occasional Events and Groups Renting The Pool Which Require A Lifeguard
Overview:
As a vital member of our aquatics team, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool patrons by vigilantly supervising the pool area during swim lessons and open swim times. The Lifeguard will play a key role in enforcing pool rules, educating patrons on safe swimming practices, and responding swiftly in emergencies. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly pool environment and supporting the swim lesson instructors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Pool Supervision: Actively supervise the pool area during designated swim lessons and family swim hours, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons. This includes patrolling the pool, walking, and standing.
Safety Enforcement: Clearly communicate and enforce pool rules, regulations, and safety guidelines to patrons, addressing and rectifying any unsafe behaviors or conditions.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond immediately to any emergency situation, perform rescues for swimmers in distress, and administer first aid and CPR as needed.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: I assist in maintaining the pool area before, during, and after swim lessons and open swim sessions, including cleaning duties and organizing pool equipment.
Support Swim Lessons: Provide support to swim lesson instructors by helping to manage class behavior, retrieve supplies, and ensure a productive learning environment for all students.
Patron Service: Serve as a friendly and informative resource for patrons, answering questions and assisting with concerns regarding pool operations and safety practices.
Qualifications:
Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross).
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Strong swimming ability and knowledge of water rescue methods.
Excellent observation skills and ability to react calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with patrons and team members.
Willingness to work flexible hours and cover shifts when needed
Previous experience as a lifeguard or in aquatic safety is preferred but optional
