The chicken is a large and round short-winged bird domesticated from the red junglefowl of Southeast Asia around 8,000 years ago. Unlike junglefowls, chickens have short wings and unfeathered legs. Their capability of flight are limited due to their weight and flight muscles. Chickens are omnivores and their diet may consist of seeds, insects, and animals as large as lizards or small mice. They are social and tend to live in flocks, though chickens can dominate others and thereby establishing a pecking order.
The goat, or the domestic goat, is a species of domesticated goat-antelope. It is domesticated from the bezoar ibex of Southwest Asia and Eastern Europe and is one of the oldest domesticated animals recorded in history. Most goats have two horns and horizontally slit-shaped pupils, coming in varying colours, shapes and sizes depending on the breed. They are curious in nature and agile, and greatly known for their climbing and balancing ability in dangerous places. Because of this, they can escape from their pens. Goats are mainly herbivores but they will eat almost anything in their line of sight as long as it resembles of a plant matter.
The sheep, or the domestic sheep, is one of the oldest livestock kept for agricultural purposes: wool, meat, and milk. Although their exact ancestor is unknown, a common theory is that they are descended from a wild Asiatic species of mouflon. It is small, usually covered with a crimped hair known as the wool and may have a pair of horns that form a lateral spiral. Sheep are strongly gregarious and depend on each other so being separated from the group can cause a lot of distress.
The llama is a domesticated South American gregarious animal belonging to the family of Camelidae. It has long and slight curved inward ears, narrow feet with wide toes, short tail, soft and woolly fiber, and notably, lacks a dorsal hump seen in camels. Llamas are curious, friendly in nature and may approach humans easily, though in cases of mishandling or over-socialising during youth will lead to aggression towards humans in a similar way to their kind. Spitting, kicking, and neck wrestling may be one of them.
The Shetland pony is a Scottish breed of pony from the Shetland Islands, located in the north of Scotland. It has a small head, small ears, short legs, and a strong body in heavy coat to withstand the harsh conditions of their land of origin. They were originally bred for pulling carts and carrying materials but can now be seen in a few commercial settings such as fun fairs and petting zoos to provide short rides for kids and adults in today's era.
