About us

The Chen Lab studies molecular pathways involved in aging and diseases. Specifically, our research focuses on the genetic and epigenetic regulation of neuronal aging, nerve regeneration and cancer progression. We use various model systems including genetically engineered mouse models, cultured cells, C. elegans, and postmortem human tissues, and combine a series of approaches ranging from genetics, genomics, and biochemistry to live imaging and optogenetics.
