About Me
I’m a scientist with a deep curiosity for the natural world and a passion for interdisciplinary research. My work spans multiple fields—from genomics and epidemiological modeling to sustainable agriculture and ecology—and has taken me across continents, from coral reefs in Egypt to maize fields in East Africa.
I hold a Ph.D. in bioinformatics from the University of Lausanne and currently work for the federal governement at the Agroscope research station in Nyon, Switzerland, as a Scientific Programmer. Here I develop models to optimize crop protection while supporting biodiversity and soil health in collaboration with the biophotonics group of Applied Physics at the University of Geneva.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience in field research, data science, and computational biology, contributing to projects in clinical, agricultural, and conservation settings. More recently I've worked as a data scientist and biostatistician in the intensive care unit of one of Switzerland's largest hospitals.
I enjoy working at the intersection of science, technology, and real-world impact—especially when it involves asking new questions, building tools, and collaborating across disciplines and borders.
