AbstractThis is a workshop-based session to explore policies that are helping to strengthen economic diversity and build postcapitalist community economies. The session is underpinned by the understanding that policy is performative: it shapes economic realities, privileges some practices, and sidelines others. The session will start with short reflections (around 5 minutes each) from two to four CERN members sharing concrete examples of:* policies that directly or indirectly support diverse economies;* opportunities to engage with policymakers to nurture postcapitalist community economies;* policies that help navigate ethical questions around key community economy coordinates such as participation, sufficiency, surplus, and commons. The reflections will open a participatory workshop in which participants collectively brainstorm and inventory policies across the diverse economies table and community economy coordinates. The workshop will provide space to explore policies that are already in place and to generate new possibilities policies that might strengthen and deepen ethical economic practices.
