AbstractThis virtual round-table welcomes people from across the CERN network who want to think about and discuss together the relationship between diverse and community economies and theories, policies and practices of schooling. In a first ‘round’, we will share some of our initial thinking, as well as examples of research and practice projects. The discussion will then open up to all attendees. Some questions we could consider are:
How have education and economy been thought together over time?
How might we draw on diverse economies thinking to find different perspectives on the relationship/s between economy and schooling?
How can and do schools build and contribute to community economies (and vice versa)?
How can/might/does schooling relate and contribute to Indigenous economies?
What sort of practice and research are CERN members doing that involve working with schools?
