AbstractCommunity economies research has visibilised initiatives and practices which are contributing to good life beyond capitalism. While some of these initiatives are developing new models and consciously seeking to bring about a better future, others are grounded in tradition and less explicit in their transformative agenda. The traditional and new forms of community economies often develop in parallel rather than in synergy, and in some cases, the „new“ models threaten to displace or delegitimise the ones already existing, albeit with a less pronounced normative direction. Is it desirable to forge alliances between ‚traditional‘ and ‚new‘ community economies? What could these alliances look like? Through which (research) strategies can they be facilitated? What else (or what next) is there to do for a postcapitalist transformation, beyond making visible already existing alternatives? The Polička Collective will present a couple of short pitches followed by a discussion. We look forward to hear other experiences as well – if you’d like to contribute with a pitch, please email Lucie before October 21st: lucie.sovova@wur.nl
