Abstract

Building on the last two Arts-Based Community and Diverse Economies sessions at Liviana, we will reflect on how the arts can contribute to diverse and community economies in ways that go beyond representation. How do the arts go beyond being the medium for the message, beyond translating the theory or idea that comes from somewhere else? The arts don't just illustrate diverse and community economy concepts but can also generate new knowledge, new practices and new ways of being and doing economy.

If you would like to contribute to this session contact the Convenor by September 30. We would like for anyone interested to prepare 3-5 minute long interventions/provocations to activate or contribute to the discussion.
