• Data Collected: When you use the "Conversation" or "Speak Aloud" features, the App captures audio input via your device's microphone.

• Purpose of Collection: This data is processed for the sole purpose of speech-to-text (STT) conversion and real-time translation using Google's Mobile Vision/ML Kit services.

• Retention: Audio input used for translation is processed transiently and is not stored on our servers. When using offline models, processing occurs entirely on your device.

B. App Usage and Performance Data (Non-Personal)

We use third-party services, primarily Firebase (Google), to monitor the App's performance and understand user behavior. This data is collected and analyzed anonymously to improve the App.

1. Analytics - Interaction data (e.g., button clicks, time spent on screens), Custom events (e.g., translation_initiated, language_downloaded), Anonymous User IDs, Device identifiers (if enabled by device settings). To analyze feature popularity, measure translation latency, and track key conversion funnels (like onboarding completion).

2. Crash Reports - Device state, unique installation identifiers, application logs/breadcrumbs leading up to a crash, stack traces, device model, and OS version. To diagnose and fix bugs, errors, and performance issues within the App (Crashlytics).

C. Locally Stored Data

• Data Stored: Language preferences (From/To language codes), selected TTS voice settings, and translation history items.

• Purpose: This data is stored locally on your device using DataStore to ensure the App remembers your settings between sessions. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services that may have access to your data only to perform the tasks outlined below:

1.  Google Mobile Vision / ML Kit - Providing offline and online Speech-to-Text and Translation features. Audio data (transiently), Text input, and translated output.

2.  Firebase Analytics - Analyzing App usage and user behavior. Device identifiers, Usage statistics, Custom Event logs.

3.  Firebase Crashlytics - Monitoring and reporting on application crashes and non-fatal errors. Crash logs, Device state, Custom Keys (e.g., active language).

These third parties are bound by their own privacy policies and are required to keep the information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

3. Permissions Required

The App requires the following permissions to function:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Required to capture your voice for real-time conversation and voice input translation. Without this permission, voice features will not work.

• Internet Access (INTERNET): Required for fetching language packs, using online translation services, and submitting usage/crash reports to Firebase.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your data, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Children's Privacy

This App is intended for a general audience and does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
