About this project
During my time at New Designers, I collaborated with a fellow designer and our client on a notable project. This experience not only expanded my skill set but also deepened my understanding of the industry, significantly contributing to my professional growth and expertise. Working closely with the client allowed me to refine my approach to design and teamwork, enhancing my ability to deliver impactful solutions.
Client
The client is from MKB Digitaal and was in need of two animation movies. One animation will be used on their website to explain the 10 steps. These 10 steps are guidelines for users to fill out a form. The other animation is about MKB Digitaal themselves. This will be used for promotion.
Summary

01. Concepting
The concepting phase was crucial for defining the illustration style. We developed two concepts for the client to choose from: Concept #1 featured a rounded, softer illustration style, while Concept #2 offered a stronger, more formal aesthetic.
02. Storyboard
To establish the narrative flow of the animations, we created storyboards for both projects. This involved brainstorming various ideas while keeping in mind that it would be our first experience with animation.
03. Illustrations
With the storyboards in place, I focused on creating illustrations. Since the client required two animated films, I took full responsibility for one, using Adobe Illustrator for the designs.
04. Animation
The final step involved animating the illustrations by bringing each frame to life and compiling them into a cohesive video. Adobe After Effects was used for this process, with subtitles and music added to enhance the final product. Deliverables included two animated films tailored to MKB Digitaal’s needs.
