About this project
I was tasked with developing a high-fidelity, clickable prototype for a bubble tea business named LouLou Bubble Tea. The project involved conducting research, conceptualizing ideas, creating visual representations, and testing with the target audience. As the sole designer, my role was to ensure the prototype aligned with the client’s vision, providing an intuitive and visually appealing user experience for their bubble tea brand. The final prototype was presented directly to the business owner for feedback and review.
Client
Throughout this project, I collaborated closely with the owner of LouLou Bubble Tea, a café located in The Hague. The client expressed a specific interest in improving their ordering process and desired a user interface that seamlessly aligned with their brand identity.
01. Research
To begin the project, I conducted thorough research to understand my target audience through interviews, surveys, and creating user personas. I also performed competitor analysis, utilizing desk research, contextual observation, and competitive advantage analysis to gain insights into market positioning.
02. Concept
With the research findings, I brainstormed solutions to address the inefficiencies in the current ordering process, especially during peak hours. I proposed a kiosk system to streamline in-store orders and also focused on enhancing the website for easier online ordering.
03. Design
With the concepts in place, I moved on to designing both the kiosk interface and improving the online ordering system. Starting with wireframes, I developed low- to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring both user experience and visual appeal were prioritized. Feedback was continuously integrated throughout the design phase.
04. Testing
Once the prototypes were ready, I conducted extensive testing with both professionals and end-users. This phase helped identify any bugs and ensured the proposed solutions effectively addressed the problems identified in the research.
