About this project
To enhance my illustration skills, I dedicated five weeks to exploring a new illustration style. During this time, I focused on refining my technique and creating unique artworks. My final deliverable was a digital book showcasing a collection of my original illustrations, reflecting my growth and experimentation in this creative field.
01. Research
Research began with an exploration of various illustration styles. I tested different brushes, followed tutorials, and studied my favorite artists. Ultimately, I selected two brushes: a pencil brush for outlining and a crayon brush for adding texture to my illustrations.
02. Moodboard
Creating a moodboard was essential for inspiration and defining the style I aimed to achieve. Filled with food images, the moodboard served as a reference point for my food art project, helping me overcome creative blocks.
03. Design
With the moodboard as a guide, I chose photos for my illustrations, focusing on photo illustrations that brought real-life pictures to life. As I illustrated, I paid close attention to details, enriching my work. The final deliverable was assembled in Adobe InDesign to create a cohesive book, designed to mimic a flipbook experience.
04. Feedback and Presentation
Throughout the process, I gathered feedback from colleagues, refining the illustrations based on their insights. Once completed, I uploaded the digital book online, allowing it to be shared and appreciated as a finished product.
