Another year another birthday

Overall this year was disappointing for me in terms of content. I like the videos I've made (Meet Blair specifically is something I want to pursue) however I would like to upload more in 2026. Idk if I'll be able too but that's the goal

Since the last status update I've gained way too many subscribers but it doesn't really correlate to consistent viewers. Tho i'll admit not uploading much didn't give those 2365 subs something to watch. But you keep moving forward, no reason to dwell on the past, not like it'll change anything.

Just released a standard video essay on Lilo & Stitch. It was made two weeks ago as a college project and I was gonna hold off on using it so I had a backlog but I didn't have any freetime to work on the actual birthday video so you're getting this for now. I think i'll be able to make Bootlegs DVDs as a New Years video, we'll see.

Oh my god my asdfmovie video is popping off

It's odd it did well for my channel when it first came out, but the MOMENT I make a new video the previous decides to pop off. I mean I'm not complaining I've gained 27 subs just today, just odd

 Honestly I think I'm in a good position rn. While i've posted less videos than I wanted to this year, they all are of quality and I am proud of them overall. I'll try to get at least 2-3 more videos to end off this year.

For editing software, I guess i'll put my media production classses to good use, yeah I'm using a*obe (though I never said I'm paying for them, heehee)

The fact the asdf video did well reassures me that people do like longer videos if there's meat on it's bones so I wouldn't mind trying them out, tho if I do it can't be how I worked on the asdf video that was hell. It took way to long for me to make and while I'm glad it's doing well, yea I don't want that happening again lol

Wow look what we have here my first update in 2024, there is a reason for this but you won't know until later

Anyway update time. I just made a community post on Youtube about how my next video (which is Volume 3 of my Jellystone ranking) won't be coming out in March. I did try to explain why but I'll expand upon it here where nobody will see this, basically I'm just not proud of it in it's current state. My mic isn't working so I had to record the entire video twice, and the second time is useable....but I also hate how I sound. I'm also trying to break free from Powerdirector but learning a new editor, in this case Davinci, takes time and effort and man is it kinda annoying to do. 

I have finished a april fools video which is just an old video I made in 2018 that I never published for whatever reason and Ik this will tank my streak of videos having a good amount of views but I need something to put out plus idc I think it'll be funny and it's neat to see how far I've grown. I do think it could be better tho idk if I'm gonna put a lot of effort into what's effectively a joke video.

Hopefully I gain more motivation, i assumed getting a lot of views relatively quickly and getting 661 subs would be amazing which keep in mind it is, I'm incredibly grateful, but then why do I keep procrastinating

My last two videos, 'Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: How Reboots SHOULD be done' and 'The Art of DVD Collecting' have both had this trend of having the first day or two get around 50 or so views, then all of a sudden I wake up and BOOM 300+ views. The Scott Pilgrim review got up to 1k, my last video to do that was 'Cartoonito: Cartoon Network's attempt to Appear Educational'. Right now the DVD video went from 300 this morning to 600 as of 12am, I like this. I crunched really hard to get that video out on the 25th so seeing it do well is nice.

Idk how this is happening but you know why try to potentially mess this up. Though I will be a fool if I didn't bring up how I barley got any subs from the Scott Pilgrim video while the DVD video despite having less right now has gotten me a huge influx of subscribers (it went from like 754 to 785). I'm guessing since the dvd one was much more connected to me and it's more engaging then an average review more people connected with me personally to want to see more as opposed to a regular review where they came from Scott Pilgrim, then left when it ended which is all fair. I don't blame them

Anyway that seems to be the wrap on 2023

Idk if I'll do a New Years video, my only idea is something related to Mickey Mouse but it may take to long and I already crunched on the DVD video I don't want back to back crunching

Overall I think in the terms of quality, this is my best year yet since I went into the direction of reviewing back in 2021. 2021 has a lot of content but most are borderline unwatchable with me figuring out how to review. 2022 is odd since there was defiantly improvements but I still would only recommend watching my content from 'A Goofy Movie: Underrated and Dumb Fun' onwards. Though I blame that on me not using footage of the thing I was talking about so the videos from before then are very stale sometimes. Though 2023 there isn't a single video that I have an issue with, I made way less this year then 2021 or 2022 but I think the quality was much higher.

No filler videos, I wasn't really trying to review the new hot thing to cash in on viewers, I mostly made what I wanted to make and all of my videos (one Child's Play 2 aside) performed pretty well all things considered. I defiantly tried more beyond the usual review. My first Simpsons Month, Magic School Bus, The Reflection part of Celeste, Checkered Past, Fionna and Cake, Baby First at Night, and DVDs aren't really reviews. Or aren't in the context to my usual way of structuring reviews. Though I still think I had a good balance of traditonal reviews with Portal 1/2, Mario 1993, The rest of the Celeste video, Child's Play 2, and Scott Pilgrim. I have gone out of my comfort zone in 2021/2 but never this much.
I am hoping to release more videos in 2024 then 2023 though I'm still hoping to keep this quality rolling.

If I can keep this up who knows? Maybe 1000 subs is closer then I would think

Another day another status update for all 3 people who know this site exists and all 0 who look at it

By this point I have released a video that broke 100 views in 24 hours, that's impressive

Funny enough the video prior, 'Celeste: Challenging Yet Rewarding' took 3 weeks to get 100

Im not sure why that video unperformed. It could just be that Celeste isn't popular rn tho that didn't stop Portal and the Magic School Bus from blowing up, topics that are definitely old and probably aren't talked as much. Gonna assume that 2 month gap had something to do with that

I have ideas, but it takes so much effort now to write them, and even more to record

Checkered Past is a weird one since that one took me less then a week to make. Kinda like how I did things in 2021 and 2022. I wrote the script in like 3 days, then recorded which took 3 days, then edited which took 2. There was like 1 or 2 days where I did no work, then I published it

I actually released a topical video around the same time that the topic came out, what a shocker

I think it being smaller helped, my other videos this year have been more ambitous and yeah

Im proud of them.... tho they do take longer to make

Heck I'm working on an Avatar retrospective with Book 1 alone taking up 4 pages in the script, old habbits die hard I guess

tho hopefully I can get more motivation to make it before September ends

Another day another update

so let's see I'm currently in the process of recording another video, I just need to record The Pros, Cons, Final Thoughts, and Outro. Then time to edit :,D

After this one is finished I should begin on the next video, tho due to reasons that I won't disclose now due to it spoiling the 2nd video it most likley will take a while to come out

So I have updated the website with a "Not Blocked" page were you could play HTML games at school and not get blocked.There are kinda bad and some are bootleg but a games a game. Will be updated with more games in the future.

So starting today I will  start posting random comixs and stop any story comixs(Len and Snippy,Life as a Poor,etc.)  because I want Len and Snippy,Life as a Poor and more to be on M NETWORK as a web seires.

Also i may get back my redit page back.

This a new thing were I will be able to tell my viewers in advance what I will do.

So now I will only upload comixs on my website if it a season and episode like Len and Snippy,Life as a -poor,bus on a train,etc. and all the other comixs that are just your average 3-5 panel comixs will go to my Pinrest and maybe Tumblr.

My tumblr will be used for comixs (maybe) and be used as my main social media until I am allowed to get Facebook or twitter or Instagram.
