Little Artlings is a heartwarming initiative driven by the Dover Community, aimed at creativity, exploration and mindfulness among children and guardians, by combining the elements of arts and nature. We really believe and practice the permaculture values which are:
EARTH CARE
Earth care aims to look after and rebuild a natural environment. Little Artlings practices this through foraged and locally made food. Education in plants and the natural environment.
PEOPLE CARE
People care aims to provide for people’s needs. This includes access to good food, water, air and companionship but also goes beyond that to include other needs like joy, community and fulfilment.
FAIR SHARE
Fair shares is about setting limits on our consumption, as well as creating and re-distributing a surplus. All materials are either recycled, reused or sourced ethically. We are striving towards a waste free group.
Through various activities, workshops, and events, Little Artlings inspires children to engage with their surroundings and express themselves creatively.
In a typical weeklty session you may see:
Open Art Table
Seasonal Plant Based Food
Cozy Reading Corner
