In this species only males sing but they have plenty of enthusiasm for the rest of their kind. I photographed this guy in May ten years ago at Bear River MBR. In their bid for nesting success neighboring male Marsh Wrens engage in complex countersinging duels almost continuously day and night and this one was giving it his best effort.

I had the honor to do miss Katie's First Birthday session and wanted to write a little about her in honor of February being Heart Awareness Month! Katie is such a sweetie pie and I had so much fun with her session! She has the cutest little face and adorable personality! When her mom contacted me to do her session, she mentioned she wanted to get some photos to celebrate Katie's journey and all she has endured her first year of life and I was honored to be a part of that. To be only one year old, Katie has been through SO much in her first year of life than most of us ever will in our lifetime!

On February 4th, 2018, Katie was born with a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). It is a common congenital heart defect that involves an underdeveloped left ventricle. HLHS will commonly require 3 stages of surgery; the first being at birth, then again at 3-6 months and at 2-3 years old. Katie has already had two surgeries so far and will get another around 2-3 years old. She spent 6 weeks in the hospital when she was born. Her immune system is not as strong as most due to her having HLHS, so her family must be careful so she doesn't get sick and be hospitalized. As you can see in the photo of Katie- she has her beads. Those beads symbolize just how much her little body has been through and just how far she has come on her journey. They symbolize how many days she has spent in the hospital, blood draws, x-rays, ECG's, surgeries, heart caths, and just how much of a little WARRIOR she is!

Step 1: Turn your punch upside-down so you can see exactly what you're punching through the metal outline, and feed in your photo. You may need to trim your photo so it fits all the way into the punch the way you want. Punch your main photo and the frame piece. It's easier if you punch the smaller shape opening first, then position the larger shape so the smaller one is in the center.

Step 2: Pour a layer of resin in your mold - no more than half way deep. Slide your photo in and gently push it to the bottom. Let it rest for 10 minutes and check for bubbles. Repeat if necessary, then let that layer set up for at least 4 hours, or whenever you get back to it.

The first step of this recipe is to spread the mayonnaise on each side of the bread with a butter knife. I usually go for about 1-2tsp per side**. then take the heart-shaped cookie cutter and make a hole in the centre of the bread. if you do not have a cookie-cutter you can always use a knife to cut out a heart.

On medium to low heat add about a tablespoon of high-quality butter** to a frying pan and allow to melt. Then add the bread and the little heart cut out into the pan and allow it to cook until it is golden and toasty this may take a few minutes. (cook this according to how toasty you like your toast). Then flip the bread over.

Before adding the egg you may want to add some more butter but this is a personal preference. Then slowly add the egg into the heart-shaped hole and cook on medium heat until the egg is cooked to your liking. This will look the best sunny side up (shown above) because you get the beautiful shape and colour contrast, this will take about 3-4 minutes.

Of course, if you like yours cooked more then I would try and flip it carefully to try and keep the egg contained within the hole. if you flip it too fast the white will go over the bread and you will lose your heart shape.

Finding myself in a new place for work, I always look online for some snippets of history of the place and I try to get out and see things, if time allows. On occasions I may finish a job early if weather has been on my side during my photo shoot. I always find it so much more fulfilling if I know some of the history of the place.

I chose Bixby Creek Bridge as a destination and calculated my time from Santa Cruz driving south. It was an hour and a half drive. I wanted to get there early enough to get some photographs before sunset.

For your special photos that will be always carried with you in your personalized locket pendant we created a Photo Service It includes adjusting colors, sizes, the composition of your images in Photoshop, and laminating them in waterproof plastic, nevertheless, if you have some time you can do it yourself at home, just follow these simple instructions:

After many years of working with custom locket pendants, I discovered an easy universal method of installing photos for all kinds of shapes of lockets, so it doesn't need to be a Heart-Shaped Locket (although I like this shape because it is very harmonious and has the capacity to contain 2 faces on each side). This detailed tutorial will help you take measurements, print, make a template, transfer the frame contour, cut, make photos waterproof, and finally insert your picture. If your Locket already comes with a transparent plastic insert you may skip the "Making a Template" step below. Before you start your photo project be sure you have all materials and tools ready:

Transparent Plastic Ruler, Self Adhesive transparent book covering film or high-quality sticky tape(Scotch), Fine Color Marker (yellow or red are the best), curved tip small Scissors, small Tweezers, wooden Toothpick, Standart plane or photo Paper "4x6", printer.

With a plastic ruler please measure the longest distance between the locket frame extremities in the middle of the frame( see the photo). This will allow you to cut photos slightly bigger than the empty space of the frame (you need this extra space to hold the picture without glue). If you have a plastic insert take it out and directly measure its width and height.

Now you can cut. Remember not to cut exactly on the line, make a small 2mm offset from the template line outwards. Before inserting the picture inside check if the locket catch is not on the way(see photo), if yes then place the cut photo on the top, mark the location of the catch, and make a little 2 mm triangular cut-out.

To finish the sealing of the photo we usually paint its edge with liquid silicon, but also bee or candle wax could be used. Start inserting a wider upper side of the heart first, and press slightly with two fingers to bend it in. Pick a toothpick and continue pushing and inserting it toward the point at the other end. If the end doesn't fit push the photo with your finger up. It should perfectly fit even if sometimes a little bit wrinkled at the bottom.

Never use any glue, because it will be difficult to remove the photo later, and also some glues can damage paper and plastic material with time. If you really need to glue it please buy a special double-sided tape or special transparent sticky silicon for photo albums.

It's a good idea with poor execution, I agree. It may go away in a while as eBay has tested this kind of thing before. At least it's not as bad as when they were plastering the number of photos in a listing right on TOP of the gallery photo - "7 photos!" "4 photos!", and another time they had the number of watchers in a banner actually across the MIDDLE of the gallery photo.

After Chitter was given the first heart rock it seemed every where we looked we seen other heart rocks. Chatter found the one above in our creek. It has a perfect little heart imprinted on it like someone stamped it with a cookie cutter.

When the girls start college, I hope they each pick a heart stone to be with them in their new venture. I remember one year, I went to a rock shop and picked out a dozen or so specially polished stones, small, and I glued small eyes on each one. I named each one and gave the meaning of the name. These were my Christmas gifts to my fellow teachers that year. The name was something significant for the teacher I gave it to. Many teachers had a special desk rock.

Our brand-new earring collection provides the perfect mix of classic and contemporary. Beautifully designed in luxe sterling silver, the gold-plated mini hoops are complete with gorgeous heart pendants, ideal for date night. Treat yourself, or create a luxury personalized gift for someone special by engraving the hearts with the initials of your choice.

Heart Rock Waterfall, which is also known as Seely Creek Falls, is located in Crestline, CA, at the end of a roughly two-mile roundtrip hike. The waterfall is beautiful as it drops around 25 feet; however, the true draw of this hike is the fact that the waterfall has an almost perfect cut out of a heart right alongside it. The heart itself looks small in the photos, but could easily hold two adults in each of its halves. This is a little gem nestled in the San Bernardo Mountains that I recently stumbled upon, even after I had lived in this area of CA for my whole life. At only about a 30-minute drive from the Inland Empire and an hour and a half from LA, it is worth checking out. The hike is easy enough that the whole family can handle it, read on for all the information.

Getting there and starting the hike is a little confusing as there are not any signs or markers that point you on your way. I would assume this is why many people have no idea it exists, but if you head up Waterman Ave from Highway 210, you can take it up into the mountains for about 13 miles then get on Highway 138 to Crestline, from there you weave around until you see the sign for Camp Seeley. Turn there, then go to the left, away from the parking lot, and drive on this road till it ends. This is a one-lane road, so drive slow.

At this split, head to the right and you will come out right above the falls. From here, you can get great views of the heart, and you can even walk out on a ledge to see it better. This is a slightly scary thing to do, though, as it is a 40-foot drop, and the ledge is slanted, so be careful. 17dc91bb1f
