Calendar and activities during the mobilities

1- A walk to the Museum in Mazeikiai.

2- Watching a movie, ¨The Devil’s Bride“, based on the book ¨Whitehorn Windmill“ by K.Boruta. A presentation of a historical background of „Whitehorn Windmill“. Writing a joint letter to the author in mixed groups of all nationalities.

3- A guided tour in Vilnius. A summary of K.Sabaliauskaite’s three short stories “Vilnius, Wilno, Vilna”; visits to the Old Town of Vilnius, Gediminas Castle, Martynas Mažvydas NationalLibrary of Lithuania. Visiting some of the places described in the collection of three of K.Sabaliauskaite´s short stories “Vilnius, Wilno, Vilna”.

4- Students’ group work on the project issues; students will create three different products, which will be the material for the front newspaper page: text creation, comics, act/ performance. Creating the front page of a newspaper.

5- Discussion “The Value of a Book in a Globalizing World”.

1- Introduction of the book ¨The life of Lazarillo de Tormes, His Fortune and adversities¨- Creating a Timeline game of the book working in groups.

2- Introduction to the book “La Regenta” by Leopoldo Alas Clarín. Tour around Ovidedo guided by the Spanish students visiting the most representative places in La Regenta.

3- Creating a virtual tour of La Regenta working in groups and reinterpretation of some iconic scenes about the novel.

4- Introduction of the play ”The house of Bernarda Alba” by Federico García Lorca. Distribution to the groups of students of the most relevant scenes of “The house of Bernarda Alba”; rehearsing and performance of some of them and screening the videos recorded during the performance.


1- Visit to the National LIbrary.

2- Reading some selected stories from ¨Mesnevi“, and finding out morals and messages. Interpretation of Mevlana´s wise words.

3- The acquaintance with the Turkish shadow play Karagöz and Hacivat shadow play, “Luck was on my side” with traditional songs and music by Ahmet Bünyamin O. and Hilmi K. Workshop: Preparing Karagöz and Hacivat puppets.

4- A visit to Mevlana Museum and his tomb.

5- Ömer Seyfettin’s biography. Students represent theatre plays: “The Currycomb” and “The Oath”. Defining virtues in the plays.


1- Calligraphy workshop at the Latvian National Library.

2- An interview writing workshop at A. Caks Museum.

3- Cooking workshop with A. Caks´ recipes.

4- A visit to the House of Rainis and Aspazija; the golden horse workshop.
