We strongly urge you to read this policy carefully. Before using LiteCleaner , please ensure you fully understand and agree to the ways we collect, use, and share your information as described herein. This Privacy Policy is formulated and updated in strict compliance with the requirements of the Google Play Developer Policy Center, particularly regarding user data privacy and security standards.
Summary
We place the highest priority on your privacy and data security, treating the responsible handling, protection, and use of your personal information as our foremost commitment. This policy clearly outlines the types of information we collect, how we use it, our protection measures, and your rights. Our core principles include:
The "Five No's" Commitment:
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share the content of your original files (photos, videos, documents, etc.).
Our core cleaning features do not rely on cloud servers to collect your files.
We do not intentionally access highly sensitive information such as your private documents, passwords, contacts, or SMS messages.
We do not collect payment card information (handled directly by the app store).
Local Processing: Files, photos, videos, and other personal data you scan are always stored locally on your device. All cleaning operations (such as identifying redundant files, similar photos, video compression) are performed entirely on your device. We cannot access the content of these original files.
Minimized Collection: We only collect information strictly necessary to provide services, improve the App, ensure security, and fulfill legal obligations.
What Information Do We Collect?
The information we collect falls primarily into the following categories:
Information You Provide (Functionally Essential)
Contact Information: If you contact us proactively via in-app support, a contact form, or email (e.g., for help or a refund request), we may collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry, provide technical support, or process your request.
Subscription Management Information: If you purchased a subscription via the app store and need assistance canceling (e.g., through support chat or a contact form), we may ask for the email registered at purchase, order number, or invoice number. This is solely used to verify subscription ownership for processing your request.
Automatically Collected Technical Information (Service Essential)
Device Information: Includes device type (phone/tablet), operating system type and version, device model, manufacturer, screen information (size, resolution), CPU, device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID (GAID), Android ID - used for unique device identification, ad attribution, fraud prevention, etc.), device country/region settings (including network access type), app store version, and device environment hardware/software characteristics.
Installed App APK Names & Version Information: We collect the APK package names and version numbers of apps installed on your device only when you actively enable features like "App Manager" or "Security Scan" and after obtaining your explicit consent via permission prompts. This information is used solely to identify potentially harmful apps, analyze app compatibility, or provide app management suggestions. It is never used to analyze your personal privacy preferences, conduct competitor analysis, or uploaded to our servers. You can manage or revoke LiteCleaner 's permissions anytime in your device's system settings or disable the relevant features within the App. Revoking permission or disabling the feature will stop this collection but may impact the functionality of those features.
Usage Information: Includes IP address (used for approximate geolocation to provide localized services or region-based ads), network type, app version, API keys (app identification), service access times/frequency/duration, session start/end times, interactions with the App (e.g., button clicks, feature usage), and in-app events (e.g., tutorial completion, upgrades, purchase status - used to understand feature usage and improve the App).
Log Information: Includes logs related to app access, installation, errors, crashes, and restarts, used for diagnosing issues, ensuring app security, and improving service performance.
Ad Interaction Information (if applicable): Includes ad display/click times, ad content type, ad placement, and conversion status, used to measure ad effectiveness and improve ad strategy.
App Permission-Related Data (Collected Locally, Not Uploaded)
Storage Permission (Read/Write): After you grant this permission, the App scans your device storage only to identify and process specific file types relevant to cleaning functions, such as cache files, temporary files, download files, large files, duplicate images, similar videos, and empty folders. All operations are performed locally on your device. We never access, upload, or scan your personal documents, chat logs, passwords, or other highly sensitive content.
Media Metadata: After authorization, the App can access metadata of photos/videos (e.g., dimensions, creation date, duration) locally for smart identification of similar content or video compression operations. The content of your original photo and video files is never uploaded or stored on any server.
How Do We Use Your Information?
We use your information solely for the following lawful purposes:
To Provide Services to You: Perform functions you request, such as scanning/cleaning, identifying similar photos, video compression (all done locally), handling your support requests, or managing subscription requests. Providing certain requested services requires specific information (e.g., contact info, device info). We share this information with service providers or partners only to the extent necessary for seamless service delivery. Without this information, we cannot provide the service.
App Improvement & Optimization: Analyze usage (primarily anonymized and aggregated data), diagnose crashes and errors, test new features, measure feature effectiveness to continually enhance the App's performance and user experience.
Providing Customer Support: We process your personal information when you contact us to resolve questions, concerns, disputes, or issues, or when you provide feedback. Without your personal information, we cannot respond or ensure your continued use and enjoyment of the services.
Communication: Respond to your inquiries, send service-related notifications (e.g., updates, security information), and, with your explicit consent, send marketing communications (you can unsubscribe anytime).
Security & Compliance: Improve and enforce our security measures; combat spam, malware, malicious activity, or security risks; monitor and verify identities to prevent unauthorized access; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms of Use; fulfill legal obligations (e.g., tax, audit record retention). Without processing your information for security, we cannot ensure service security.
Enforcing Terms, Agreements, or Policies: Proactively monitor, investigate, prevent, and mitigate any suspected or actual prohibited, illegal, or unlawful activity in our services; investigate, prevent, or mitigate violations of our terms and policies; enforce agreements with third parties and partners. Without processing for this purpose, we cannot fulfill our services according to our terms, agreements, or policies.
Advertising & Analytics (if applicable): To measure ad effectiveness and show you potentially relevant ads, we may use your Android Advertising Identifier (GAID). GAID is a non-personally identifiable token used solely for advertising and analytics. It does not contain sensitive information directly identifying you or your device, nor is it linked to your personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers (like SSAID, MAC address, IMEI). You have the right to opt-out of personalized advertising; see Section 6: "Your Rights & Choices" below.
