Welcome to Lite PDF Manager!
Lite PDF Manager (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is a powerful PDF document management tool. We are committed to protecting your personal information while providing you with convenient PDF processing services. This Privacy Policy aims to clearly explain how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the App. Please read and understand the full content of this policy before using the App. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
1. Information Collection and Use
The core functions of the App are designed to process your documents on your device. To provide, optimize our services, and support the sustainable development of the App (e.g., through advertisements), we collect information within necessary limits.
• Local Document Processing: The App's core document processing functions, including but not limited to PDF listing, previewing, sorting, searching, deleting, renaming, sharing, recent views, favorites, scan to PDF, image to PDF, split PDF, merge PDF, lock/unlock PDF, are performed locally on your device. For these core functions, we do not collect, upload, store, or share the content of your PDF documents, images, passwords, or related personal data to our servers. Your documents always remain securely stored on your device.
• Required System Permissions:
◦ Storage/File Management Permission: This is a fundamental permission for the App's operation. It is used to access, read, save, rename, and delete PDF/image files on your device, and to save newly generated or processed files to your specified location.
◦ Camera Permission: Used only when you actively choose the "Scan to PDF" feature, to invoke the camera for capturing document images. The captured content is used only locally to generate PDFs and is not uploaded.
◦ Photo/Media Access Permission: Used to access images on your device for the "Image to PDF" function. We only access the specific images you select.
• Information We Collect: To optimize product experience, analyze failures, provide basic services, and display advertisements, we collect the following information that does not involve the content of your documents:
◦ Device and Log Information: Including your IP address, approximate geographical location, device model, operating system version, app version number, Android Advertising ID (AAID), crash logs, and performance data.
◦ App Usage Information: We collect anonymous in-app interaction data, such as the frequency of use of various features, button clicks, page view duration, settings preferences, etc. This data helps us understand how users interact with the App to improve product design, fix issues, and optimize user experience.
◦ Advertising-Related Data: The App contains advertisements. To serve you more relevant advertisements, we and our advertising partners may access and use your Android Advertising ID (AAID), along with the aforementioned approximate geographical location and App Usage Information, for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device's system settings.
2. Information Storage
• All your PDF documents and locally processed data (such as favorites lists, recent view history) are stored locally on your device. This information will be permanently removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
• The device information, usage statistics, and log information we collect are stored securely on our servers or the servers of our trusted third-party service providers (see Section 4) with reasonable technical and administrative measures in place to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell the content of your personal documents. We only share the non-document information described in Section 1 of this policy under the following circumstances:
• Sharing with Service Providers: We may share information with third parties who provide services to us, such as data analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase) and advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob), to help us analyze app usage and serve advertisements.
• Compliance with Law and Protection of Safety: If we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lite PDF Manager, our users, or others.
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer your information to the successor entity.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services to enable specific functionalities, primarily including:
• Advertising Services: For displaying advertisements within the App.
• Analytics Services: For collecting and analyzing anonymized crash reports and usage statistics.
These third-party services (e.g., Firebase, Google AdMob) have their own independent privacy policies governing their data practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of these third parties.
5. Your Rights and Controls
• Permission Management: You can manage the App's permissions (camera, storage, etc.) at any time in your device's system settings.
• Advertising Preferences: You can reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier in your device's system settings to control personalized advertising.
• Data Deletion: You can delete all locally stored documents and app data by uninstalling the App. For non-document information stored on our servers, you may submit a deletion request by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date" at the top. For significant changes, we will provide prominent notice within the App. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
