Participants:
o Single or Team entries
o Amateur bakers only- no commercial bakers

Pie Specifications
o Must be homemade and baked by the entrant for judging
o No store-bought crust, dough, or canned fillings allowed
§ Crust and Filling must be made from scratch
o Must be baked in a 9” covered, disposable pie tin or plate
o Indicate if pie requires refrigeration before serving and may not contain raw/uncooked eggs
o Note any common allergens including
§ Milk/Dairy
§ Eggs
§ Peanuts
§ Tree Nuts
§ Wheat/Gluten
§ Soy
§ Other
Submission:
o Recipe submission to include flavor, ingredient list and instructions
o Bring your pie to the designated area in Talent Hall no later than 1:30pm Sunday July 26
o Pies submitted after the deadline will not be eligible.
o Pies will be on display from 2-4pm
Judging:
o Judging 4-4:30 pm
o Judges score based on criteria such as:
§ Overall Appearance (pre-slice and after-slice appeal)
§ Crust (flakiness, color, texture, flavor)
§ Filling (consistency, doneness, moisture, flavor)
§ Flavor/Taste (dominant taste and balance)
Remainder of the pies will be served after judging in small servings (Little taste cups)
