Listening in Lockdown

Listening in Lockdown was developed by MA Museum Studies students at the University of Leicester in collaboration with the Midlands regional hub of the British Library's Unlocking our Sound Heritage project, and the East Midlands Oral History Archive.

It explores how our sonic engagements have been shaped by our lockdown experiences of creativity, learning, work, nature, play & technology. Six projects invite you to consider how sounds of daily life have changed during these unprecedented times.

Take time to explore the interactive sites and to pause, reflect and listen to the sound objects we have put on display. We hope you enjoy Listening in Lockdown.
