If you want maximum power output and a rugged, adjustable design for heavy daily use in hot climates, choose LISEN Retractable Car Charger; if you need a compact, budget-friendly unit with robust safety protections and a slightly longer cable reach, choose BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger.
• LISEN: Delivers a massive 84W total output with a dedicated 45W PD port for rapid iPhone charging, but features a larger physical footprint that may crowd some dashboards. Best for the driver who prioritizes raw speed and multi-device charging on long hauls.
• BERTHALESS: Offers solid 4-port convenience with superior over-temperature protection and a sleeker blue profile, though its power distribution is less aggressive than the LISEN model. Ideal for the commuter seeking a tidy, safe solution without breaking the bank.
The LISEN Retractable Car Charger is built for the person who treats their vehicle as an extension of their office or a command center. With a stated total capacity of 84W, this device isn't just about keeping a phone alive; it is designed to handle the high-energy demands of modern tablets and flagship smartphones simultaneously. The standout feature here is the 45W Power Delivery (PD) USB-C port. If you are driving a newer iPhone 18 Pro Max or similar high-end Android device, this specific port allows for peak charging speeds, capable of reaching 50% battery life in just 15 minutes under optimal voltage conditions. This level of performance is critical when you have a short window between meetings or a brief stop during a road trip and need your device ready instantly.
Beyond raw speed, the LISEN addresses the chaotic reality of family vehicles. It supports four devices at once through a combination of retractable cables and dual USB ports. The retractable mechanism pulls out up to 31.5 inches, which provides generous slack for passengers in the back seat or for users who need to place their phone further from the dashboard. The 180-degree adjustable angle is another game-changer for usability. In many cars, the cigarette lighter socket is positioned awkwardly behind a console or near a cup holder. Being able to rotate the head fully allows you to orient the ports away from obstructions, ensuring that even with thick cases or bulky accessories attached, the connection remains secure.
However, this power comes with a trade-off in size and complexity. The unit measures approximately 5.35 inches in length, making it a substantial block compared to standard chargers. While the military-grade shockproof structure suggests durability, the larger chassis means it will be more visible and could potentially interfere with other plugs if your car has limited space around the socket. Despite this nuance, it remains the superior choice for anyone who needs to charge multiple large-screen devices rapidly in a hot environment where battery drain is accelerated by air conditioning usage.

The BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger takes a different approach, focusing heavily on safety, organization, and ease of use rather than pushing the absolute limits of wattage. Its primary appeal lies in its intelligent protection system. Unlike generic adapters that might overheat during extended summer drives, this unit is explicitly engineered with safeguards against overcharging, over-current, and over-temperature conditions. This makes it an excellent candidate for those who frequently drive in extreme heat or live in regions where ambient temperatures soar, as the internal thermal management is a core selling point rather than an afterthought.
In terms of utility, the BERTHALESS offers a clean "4-in-1" experience that prioritizes cable management. The retraction mechanism is simple: pull out one inch and release, and the cable snaps back inside automatically. This keeps the cabin looking pristine, eliminating the tangle of loose wires that often accumulate in the footwells of busy households. The charger also features an 180-degree adjustable direction, allowing users to twist the head left or right to find the most comfortable angle for plugging in a device without straining the cable or the connector.
The BERTHALESS is particularly well-suited for drivers who value simplicity and reliability over cutting-edge fast-charging specs. Its design is more compact, measuring roughly 5.91 inches in height but with a slimmer overall profile that fits discreetly into most standard 12V sockets. The blue color adds a subtle visual distinction, and the compatibility list spans a wide range of devices, including iPhones, Samsung Galaxy models, and Google Pixels. If your primary goal is to keep your car interior free of clutter and ensure that your family members can charge their phones safely without worrying about overheating or slow charging speeds, this unit delivers exactly what is needed without the bulk of higher-wattage competitors.
• Best for raw charging speed → LISEN Retractable Car Charger: With a dedicated 45W PD port, it charges compatible flagships significantly faster than the BERTHALESS.
• Best for heat resistance → BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger: Explicitly lists over-temperature protection as a key feature, ideal for hot climates.
• Best for multi-device families → LISEN Retractable Car Charger: The 84W total output ensures no slowdown when powering four devices simultaneously.
• Best for compact storage → BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger: Slightly smaller dimensions make it less intrusive in tight dashboard areas.
• Best for adjustability → LISEN Retractable Car Charger: The 180-degree rotation is marketed specifically for rough roads and difficult angles.
• Best for safety-conscious buyers → BERTHALESS Retractable Car Charger: Over-current and over-voltage protections are front-and-center in the product description.
• Best for gift-giving practicality → LISEN Retractable Car Charger: The high-power capability makes it feel like a premium tech gift for tech-savvy drivers.
After weighing the specifications and real-world application of both units, I would buy the LISEN Retractable Car Charger for my own vehicle. The ability to push 45W through a single USB-C port is a necessity in 2026, especially when dealing with power-hungry devices that drain quickly in hot climates. While the BERTHALESS offers excellent safety features, the LISEN's superior power delivery and robust build quality provide more peace of mind for long road trips. The adjustable head and retractable design solve the same clutter problems as the BERTHALESS, but with the added benefit of not having to wait hours for a full charge. For anyone who values efficiency and speed above all else, the LISEN is the clear winner.
It measures about 5.35 inches long, which is larger than average, but the 180-degree rotation helps position it to avoid blocking other controls or cup holders.
Yes, it supports fast charging for iPhone 16/15/14 series via USB-C and USB-A, though it does not specify the exact wattage output like the LISEN model does.
The BERTHALESS emphasizes over-temperature protection in its core features, making it a strong contender for preventing overheating in high-ambient temperature environments.
Both models support charging four devices simultaneously using their retractable cables and USB ports, though the LISEN distributes power differently to maintain higher speeds.
