Welcome!
from The Committee to Elect Lisa Capoccia
I’m running for School Committee to ensure that Watertown’s students have the kind of exceptional and equitable educational experience that I know we can provide in this community, and to ensure that our district staff and caregiver communities are fully recognized and supported in their critical roles.
Thank you for visiting!
Please take a minute to get to know me. Below are some experiences and convictions I bring to this work:
Parent of a WHS freshman who started in the Lowell Elementary pre-K in 2013
A decade of experience volunteering with WPS as a parent
Several years supporting community health efforts in Watertown
A career in school mental health, including as social worker for Newton Public Schools, with in-depth knowledge of special education processes such as IEPs and 504s
Nearly two decades of (former career) experience as a public health professional
My belief that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect
My love for the Watertown community and Watertown Public Schools!
