Dear Patron,
We are thrilled to welcome you to Creative Grounds Fine Arts Academy’s production of Disney’s The Lion King Jr. here at the University of Indianapolis’ Ransburg Auditorium. This fall is especially exciting as we kick off our third season as the University’s Theatre in Residence! We invite you to check the back of the program for information about our upcoming productions and classes—you won’t want to miss what’s ahead!
At Creative Grounds, our mission extends far beyond putting on great shows. We are committed to transforming lives by building community, fostering connections, and nurturing the next generation of artists. Our heart is to create a space where every person—regardless of experience, background, or ability—can grow, shine, and discover their voice through the arts.
Parents often tell us what this mission means to their families:
“I absolutely love that Creative Grounds is a no-cut program welcoming students of all abilities and skill levels. They support kids who may be struggling emotionally, and they even have a therapy dog. We’re so grateful!”
“Creative Grounds holds a special place in our community. The students are outstanding, and the training—from acting to dancing and singing—is phenomenal. When you come to a show, it’s incredible to realize these amazing performances are created by kids!”
As a nonprofit organization, we work hard to keep programs affordable while maintaining excellence. However, we cannot do this without the financial support of our community. Approximately half of our annual budget comes from student participation fees, ticket sales, and business sponsorships. The remaining half comes directly from donations—from generous patrons like you who believe in the transformative power of the arts for young people.
If Creative Grounds has inspired you, moved you, or made a difference for your family, we ask you to consider making a gift today. Your support directly sustains our programs, strengthens our mission, and provides scholarships for students who otherwise could not participate.
You can donate at the ticket table, through our donation jars, or quickly and conveniently online at cgfinearts.org/donate-now.
Thank you for being here tonight, for supporting young artists, and for helping us continue changing lives—onstage and beyond.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Mark

Welcome to the Pride Lands!
Putting on The Lion King Jr. has been a total blast, and honestly, these kids have blown me away. This is a huge, legendary show, but our cast stepped right up to the plate. At its heart, the story is all about finding where you fit, backing each other up, and realizing that young people are capable of doing really big, amazing things.
Over the last few weeks, this crew has worked so hard. They learned complex lyrics in Swahili, nailed big dance moves, and brought these iconic characters to life with so much personality and energy. The absolute best part of my job has been watching them cheer each other on and turn into one big family.
It takes a whole pride to pull off a show like this, so a huge shoutout to our incredible creative team, coordinators, parent volunteers, and backstage crew. Whether you were sewing costumes, building Pride Rock, running carpools, or herding the animals, or um kids, behind the scenes—thank you. We truly couldn't have done it without you.
To our audience: thanks so much for coming out to support local youth theater and these talented kids.Â
Sit back, relax, and Hakuna Matata!
Jambo!
