LINKING WORLDS
An international literary and artistic project
with participants from all the inhabited continents,
who choose to link their worlds with invisible creative bridges
“If I can stop one heart from breaking"
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
Emily Dickinson
About the Project
We are not alone - we are all one
Linking Worlds is a literary and artistic project without borders, and across the globe, we are linked together in mind and heart and hand. Since 2014 we have made art and creative writing inspired by a phrase from poetry or a literary theme chosen by the project curator Magdalena Brzezinska. The anthologies are published online for everyone to read and later printed in cooperation with Bielsko Artistic Association Grodzki Theatre in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. This is a non-state-funded social entrepreneurship, and we are proud to cooperate with them.
On a personal note, and I know my fellow project colleagues agree, Linking Worlds has changed and is changing my life. Apart from bringing me back to putting my pen to paper to write poetry, healing happens when we process and work with a shared theme. It doesn't matter where you live or what you do - we all share the same feelings, and every poem and work of art unites us.
Welcome to Linking Worlds. We are not alone - we are all one.
