Privacy Policy — LinkedIn Comment Drafter
Last updated: July 26, 2026
LinkedIn Comment Drafter is a Chrome extension that helps users draft comments on LinkedIn posts using AI.
What data we access
The extension reads the visible text content of LinkedIn posts you choose to comment on, in order to generate a suggested comment.
What data we store
Your Anthropic (Claude) API key and your comment-writing preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to us.
What data we send, and to whom
When you click "Draft Comment," the visible post text is sent directly from your browser to the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) using your own API key, in order to generate a comment. This request goes directly to Anthropic; it does not pass through or get stored on any server we operate.
We do not collect, store, sell, or share any of your data on our own servers, because we do not operate any servers. We have no access to your API key, your LinkedIn activity, or the content of any post or comment.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect personal information, health information, financial information, location data, web browsing history, or keystroke/activity logs.
Third parties
The only third party involved is Anthropic (api.anthropic.com), which processes the post text you submit according to Anthropic's own privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
