Here in this beginner's guide, you will learn how to show that you are streaming on Discord. This is something all streamers of all sizes use, and you should too.
Connect your Twitch to Discord
Let people know you're LIVE! on Twitch via Discord
Are you looking to gain some exposure as a Streamer on a casual basis?
If you are new to the Streamer realm, then you must have a Discord for your community. Discord is considered essential for a Streamer to help further bond their relationship with their viewers. Not only can you communicate with them, but you can also join other servers and directly or subtly advertise yourself.
You're probably thinking, "How do I let them know I'm streaming on Discord?
Well... there are always Discord bots, but the easiest and most subtle way to notify them without feeling "annoying" is to have a live profile status:
Your live profile status will be visible to your friends and all members of the servers you joined. This means that if you join a server with a lot of people, someone might be curious enough to click through to your profile and watch your stream!
You can enable this by linking your Twitch account to Discord through Connections
Click on User Settings (located in the bottom left corner of your discord)
If you are a YouTube Streamer the same rules apply, however we are only focusing on Twitch for this post!
Click Connections (near the top), then select the Twitch icon
You will be redirected to Twitch, if you are already logged into Twitch it will automatically link the accounts and you will see this:
Now that your accounts are linked, you can enable live profile status and display your Twitch channel on your profile by going back to Connections in your settings.
 Turn on profile view
Finish! easy right
P.S. Make sure you turn on Streamer mode to avoid being interrupted by notification sounds!
Click User Settings
Scroll down to App Settings and click on Streamer Mode
Activate streaming mode
Activate Automatically enable/disable
You can go now!

Why should you connect your Twitch account to Discord?
Connecting the two accounts will bring you new features and better connect with your favorite streamer. Discord allows streamers to post their Twitch emotes on their official channel, as well as gain access to unique content.
For streamers, you'll get a list of all subscribers to your channel on Discord, as well as the ability to see if a particular user is actually subscribed. There is also a special Streamer Mode if you want to hide sensitive information about your account.
