Lindsey is a life-long member of the WESD Community. She and her husband, Layne, have five children who are or will be products of the WESD. Their youngest child will begin kindergarten in 2020. Lindsey has been a high school English teacher in the Glendale Union High School District since 2002.
Lindsey made the decision to run for the WESD Board because of her strong commitment to her community and her strong belief in the value of education. As a teacher herself, she knows the value of quality instruction, and the importance of well-supported educators. Lindsey believes a teacher voice on the school board is crucial, and she knows that she can be that voice that advocates for teachers. The best teachers always ask, "what's best for kids?" and in her career, that question has driven Lindsey to try new things, advance ideas and push for growth. As a member of the WESD Board, Lindsey will continue to advocate for students and quality instruction in every classroom.
