After years of discomfort and health issues, Mom finally discovered that she had a calcified pericardium - the sack around her heart was solid like a skull. This made her heart perform super inefficiently, causing several more organs to go out of whack and cause even more health issues. 

But once she learned the root cause, we went in search for the right doctor to perform a super intricate procedure - a pericardiectomy.
There were lots of tests, lots of office visits, and lots of questions.

And on August 30, 2024, Mom had her heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Unai.
