Welcome to my homepage!
Since 2021, I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at Olin Business School at Washington University in St Louis. I am also a CEPR research affiliate (Monetary Economics and Fluctuations, Corporate Finance), a member of the Finance Theory Group (FTG), and a member of the editorial board of Ledger.
I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Bonn in Germany in July 2017. Before joining Olin, I worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Utrecht University in the Netherlands (2016-2018), and École Polytechnique in France (2018-2021).
I hold a Diplom in Mathematics from University of Bonn (2011) and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from University of Edinburgh (2009).
I am an applied theorist working at the intersection of financial intermediation, asset pricing, monetary economics, and international finance. My research focuses on monetary competition, the emergence and transmission of financial fragility, and the unintended consequences of policy interventions designed to preserve financial stability.
