Highlands Neighborhood Association Minutes

February 21, 2023

Board members present: Beckie Cromer, Jennifer Hellwege.  Guest Jacob Lewenberger.  Rose Klein arrived at 7:40 PM

Minutes were not approved due to lack of a quorum.

Treasurer’s report was not approved due to lack of a quorum.  Checking balance $941.36 and savings balance $4019.69.  2 memberships were received.

No HNA improvement ideas were discussed.  

The Social Media Director position has been accepted by Jacob Lewenberger.  Jacob and Jennifer will work together to transition the responsibility.

Rose is working with working with Lancastor Manor activities director to get the eggs stuffed.  Rose delivered 2 tubs of eggs.   Rose purchased 45 pounds of candy and inventory on hand was discussed.  Jennifer and Rose have baskets and items to fill baskets. 

The garage sale was discussed.  Beckie registered the HNA garage sale for the Goodwill Challenge.  It was noted there will only be one pickup on Saturday, May 20, 2023.  Beckie will talk to Snap Fitness to confirm use of the pick-up location and put ad in Lincoln Journal Star.

The newsletter was discussed with plans for delivery by Boy Scouts on March 25 or April 1.  Goal is to get draft complete and to print by March 10 or 17th and finalized by March 21.  Jennifer had confirmed 6 advertisers. Articles include sidewalks, egg hunt, garage sale, food bank schedule and traffic control, add thank you to Frito Lay for pool party as they were left out.

We adjourned at 7:55 pm. The next meeting is Monday, March 20, 2023 at 7 pm at Eiseley Branch Library at 1530 Superior St.
