Board members present: Myrna Coleman, Rod Hubbard, Jennifer Hellwege, Beckie Cromer, Rose Klein and Jim Klein. Brodey Weber and Adam Claypool excused.

Rod Hubbard made a motion to accept the minutes of the February meeting as printed and emailed. Seconded by Jennifer Hellwege. Approved.

Jim Klein read the treasurer’s report. The winter 2021 newsletter cost $90 for design and $349.80 for printing. Tax was $31.89 for a total of $471.69. Rod Hubbard made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report and pay all pending bills. Seconded by Beckie Cromer. Approved.

The Egg Hunt will be held April 16 at 1 pm at the Highlands North Park. Myrna Coleman said that she will be leaving the state and probably will not be back for the Egg Hunt. Rose Klein will take over taking plastic eggs and candy to Lancaster Manor and picking them up when they are filled. Rose will also get the raw eggs for the Egg Toss and full size candy bars for the participants. Jennifer Hellwege will have us over to fill the prize baskets at her house on Monday, April 4 at 6:30 pm.

We will meet at the park at 11 am to distribute the filled eggs so that we are done before the families start showing up. Please bring friends and neighbors to help distribute the eggs. Rod Hubbard has the megaphone. Myrna brought all the egg hunt supplies and Rod and Jennifer Hellwege will store them at their homes. Jennifer said that she would hand out the prize baskets to children who find the eggs with a prize certificate in them.

We have four categories for the Egg Hunt: Toddlers, Preschool and Kindergarten, First and Second Grade, and Third and Fourth Grade. Beckie Cromer said that she would call the Egg Toss for the Fifth graders and older. Rose will bring the raw eggs, wet wipes and paper towels, and full size candy bars for the participants. The two winners of the Egg Toss will each get a bag of assorted candy.

Brodey Weber sent information that he would email the first draft of the spring newsletter on March 28. The board will need to proofread it and let him know any corrections quickly so that it can be printed that week and delivered by the Scouts that weekend or the next.

The April 18 meeting will be our election meeting. Myrna Coleman and Jim Klein have stated that they are not running for election so their positions will be open. We also have open director’s positions. Jennifer has listed a board member job description on lincolnhighlands.com

Myrna will try to schedule the Pool Party. Because of board members scheduled vacations she will try to schedule it on July 16 or 17.

We adjourned at 7:45 pm. The next meeting is Monday, April 18 at 7 pm at the Fire Station. We stayed after the meeting to stuff plastic eggs with gummy candy for the toddlers.
