Highlands Neighborhood Association Minutes

March 15, 2021

Board members present: Myrna Coleman, Rod Hubbard, Brodey Weber, Rose Klein, Jim Klein and Jennifer Hellwege.

Correction to the minutes of the last meeting: Myrna Coleman and Rod Hubbard said that the use of masks at the Egg Hunt would be encouraged but not required. Jim Klein made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Seconded by Rod Hubbard. Approved.

Jim Klein read the treasurer’s report. Rod Hubbard made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and pay all pending bills. Seconded by Brodey Weber. Approved. Jim is running out of HNA checks so Rod will order more for him.

Brodey Weber reported that Joy Meece is the new Boy Scout mom who will be our contact for newsletter delivery. If Brodey doesn’t get word back from the Boy Scouts by tomorrow then Jennifer Hellwege will check with a group from North Star High School. This will be a smaller one-page folded newsletter since this is the first one that Brodey will do. He is having the printing and setup done through Eagle Printing.

Myrna Coleman said that the Fire Station is not available for our meetings until we are in the green zone with Covid 19. So we will probably continue meeting at the HiPark Clubhouse until that time.

Myrna invited the board to her house on Monday, March 29 at 6:30 to help fill the prize baskets and prepare prize bags for the participants in the raw egg toss. Myrna said that she had 18 big baskets and some smaller ones to fill.

Myrna said that she would check with Parks and Rec to see if we could schedule the Pool Party for July 24, July 31 or August 7. Jennifer said that she has come up with a job application for new board members and she would post it on the Highlands Neighborhood Association Facebook page.

We adjourned at 8:15. The next meeting will be on Monday, April 19 at 7 pm at the HiPark Apartments Clubhouse.
