Highlands Neighborhood Association Minutes

May 20, 2019

Board members present: Myrna Coleman, Rod Hubbard, Jennifer Hellwege, Jim Klein and Brodey Weber. Rose Klein excused.

Correction to the minutes of the April meeting, the garage sales will be the third week in May. Jim Klein made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting as corrected. Seconded by Rod Hubbard. Approved.

Jim Klein read the treasurer’s report. All ads have been paid for except Kelly’s Kids. As of May 8^th Lancaster Manor and the Boy Scouts have not cashed their checks. Jim suggested opening a savings account for the money that we have accumulated from winning the Goodwill Challenge. Jim Klein made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and pay all pending bills. Seconded by Rod Hubbard. Approved.

The Egg Hunt on April 20^th went well. The weather was good and the turn-out was large. Channel 8 sent a news crew and they interviewed Myrna Coleman to add to their story.

The Spring Garage Sales had 56 listings on the lincolnhighlands.com website. Myrna worked the Goodwill Pick-up both days. Friday she was helped by Kris Meek and there were seven donators. Saturday she was helped by Rod Hubbard, Kris Meek and Rose Klein and there were 30 donators. About half of the donators took receipts for their donations.

The Pool Party is planned for August 3^rd. Kris Meek said she would check with Down the Hatch to see if they would donate a gift certificate. Brodey Weber will check with Super Saver for a water donation. Myrna has purchased large squirt guns from Dollar Tree for prizes.

The next meeting will be Monday, June 17 at 7:30 at the Fire Station.
