Highlands Neighborhood Association Minutes

December 18, 2017

Board members present: Myrna Coleman, Rod Hubbard, Rose Klein, Jim Klein and Kris Meek. Keegan Melcher and David Staenberg absent.

Rod Hubbard made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting as emailed and printed. Seconded by Kris Meek. Approved.

Jim Klein read the treasurer’s report. Rose Klein made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and pay all pending bills. Seconded by Jim Klein. Approved.

Myrna Coleman got an email from webmaster Jennifer Hellwege who was ill. She said that we could set up our director’s group email through Direct NIC’s professional email product for $30 per year.

Rose made a motion to authorize Jennifer to sign us up for Direct NIC pro email for our group email at a cost of $30 per year. Seconded by Kris Meek. Approved.

Myrna will have to call Parks and Rec. to schedule the pool party next month. The preferred dates are July 28 or August 4. We may have to start looking for another director if Keegan Melcher moves away when he graduates college next May.

Myrna said she has an article about recycling that didn’t fit into the winter newsletter so it will go into the spring newsletter that comes out before the Egg Hunt. Easter comes earlier this year (on April 1) so the Egg Hunt will be March 31. Rose and Myrna bought discounted Halloween candy for the Egg Hunt. This gives us a better selection of small wrapped candy than is available before Easter.

We adjourned at 8:30. The next meeting is Monday, January 15 at 7:30 at the fire station.
