Varsity Head Coach - Kyle Parker
Coach Parker graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 2002. Began his coaching career at the age of 18 and returned to LNE in 2004, working under Coach Jeff Fagler and Head Coach Bill Fagler. His wife, Emily, is also a Lincoln Northeast alum. Together, they have two children: Maverick (12) and Scout (8).
Coach Parker is a strong believer in the “family first” philosophy. He strives to create a baseball program that feels like an extension of family for every player involved. Coach Parker strives to give every player he coaches a chance to play college baseball is that is a path they want to pursue.

Varsity Assistant Coach - Drew Beyer
Graduated from North Platte High School in 2013. Coach Beyer has always put family first and was raised in the world of sports. In 2014 he started volunteer coaching at Lincoln Southwest High School. In the summer Drew was an assistant on the Reserve Team who went on to win the NRBL State Championship and a State Runner-Up. After 2-years at LSW he went onto Lincoln High where he was the Reserve Spring Head Coach and the Junior Varsity Assistant Coach. After 2 years at LH Coach Beyer took the JV Position under Coach Kyle Parker at Waverly High School. There he also coached the Reserve team and Senior Legion team. Drew is entering his 6th season at Lincoln Northeast and his twelfth season coaching overall.
Jeff Fagler - Varsity Assistant Coach
-1995 LNE graduate. In baseball was twice All-city, 2nd team All-State, and Colon Team MVP winner. In basketball played on state championship team.
-1999 NWU grad. Four year starter at middle infield positions.
-Coached various levels of LNE spring/summer baseball from 1997-2019. Last four seasons as varsity coach included a 2016 state tournament appearance. Began helping again with LNE baseball in 2024.
Jim Ruley - Varsity / JV Assistant Coach
Coach Jim Ruley brings a dedicated passion for the game, rooted in his history as a former Lincoln Northeast Rocket. His philosophy is strongly influenced by the value of effort and intelligence, embodying the idea that "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" (Derek Jeter) and that in baseball, "Dumb loses more than smart wins" (Bob Knight).
Coach Ruley's tenure includes successful roles at both the high school and Legion levels:
Waverly Baseball (2016-2019): Served as an Assistant Coach for both the Waverly High School and Legion teams, culminating in a significant achievement as an Assistant Coach on the 2016 Waverly Legion State Championship team.
Lincoln Northeast (2020-2022): Returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Coach, contributing to the program's daily development. In 2022, he took on the responsibility of Head Coach for the Summer Reserves team.
While his two children keep him busy off the field, Coach Ruley remains committed to instilling the lessons of hard work, intelligence, and execution in the next generation of baseball players.
Colby McPike - Varsity Assistant - Program Catching Coach
2012 Graduate of Lincoln Northeast
Coach McPike graduated from Lincoln Northeast in 2012, where he was part of two state tournament appearances, including a state runner-up finish his senior year. He went on to play baseball at Johnson County Community College and Nebraska Wesleyan University before returning to Northeast in 2022 to coach the Rockets’ catchers. Colby is married to his wife, Amber, and they have three children — Emerson (7), Calen (5), and Llewyn (1) — who are often seen around the ballpark, with Emerson or Calen helping out as bat boys. He currently works for Hudl, helping high schools in South Texas use video and data to elevate their athletic programs.

JV Head Coach - Austin Urbauer
Coach Urbauer grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, playing for the Lincoln Dodgers Blue from age 8 through 14U. Competing at the USSSA Major level, he developed his love for the game early and learned the value of hard work, discipline, and teamwork.
He attended Lincoln Southeast High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete, competing in baseball, football, and wrestling. Primarily an outfielder and pitcher — with some time at first base — his left-handed versatility gave him unique opportunities on the field, despite the limited positional options for southpaws.
After high school, Urbauer attended Wayne State College. Due to labrum issues, his baseball career ended earlier than planned, but his competitive drive led him to play rugby at the collegiate level. Following graduation, he student taught at Lincoln East High School and joined their baseball coaching staff in the spring of 2020, before the season was cut short by COVID-19. That summer, he coached East’s Junior Legion team, marking the beginning of his Legion baseball coaching journey.
In the fall of 2020, Coach Urbauer began teaching at Lincoln Northeast High School, where he immediately joined the baseball and wrestling coaching staffs. He started as the Reserve baseball coach before moving up to JV, while also coaching Junior Legion for four seasons and leading the Senior Legion team for the past two years.
Coach Urbauer takes pride in building lasting relationships with his players, developing them into not only better baseball players but also great young men. He values the deep history and strong community support of Lincoln Northeast — something he believes is unmatched anywhere else in the city. His coaching philosophy centers on hard work, accountability, and a genuine love for the game.

Brad Wilken- Reserves Head Coach
Coach Brad Wilken brings 15 years of dedicated experience coaching in a select baseball program. Throughout his career, his commitment has extended beyond the select seasons, as he has consistently continued to support his players through their high school careers, helping them navigate the next level of their development.
Coach Wilken's coaching philosophy is entirely player-centric. He holds both himself and his players accountable to three core principles that he believes are fundamental to success on and off the field:

He firmly believes that the coach's role is to foster growth in every aspect of the athlete's life. His goal is to not only develop players' skills but to also grow the athlete as a person and a player, creating well-rounded individuals who understand the value of discipline, hard work, and good character.
Jackson Carter- Reserves Assistant Coach
Jackson (JC) Carter is a 2021 graduate of Northeast High School. He spent two seasons pitching at Kansas Wesleyan University before transferring to Wayne State College following shoulder repair surgery of a torn rotator cuff and labrum. Coach Carter is currently completing his degree in Health and Physical Education and continues to pursue his passion for baseball and athletic development.
