About me

Lin Gui (桂林) is currently an Assistant Professor (UK Lecturer) at King's College London, the Department of Informatics. Before joining KCL, he was an Assistant Professor (2021-2022) and Marie Curie Research Fellow (2018-2020) at the Univeristy of Warwick. His research interests include:

Sentiment analysis and opinion mining
Transfer learning and multi-task learning
Emotion cause detection
Model interpretation
Topic modelling

Lin Gui currently hosts an EPSRC project (PI) and actively looks for PhD students and postdocs to work with him.

May 2025, we have 4 papers (1 main + 3 findings) accepted to ACL 2025, and one paper accepted to IEEE TASLP.
May. 2025, Qinglin has a paper "Soft reasoning: Navigating Solution Spaces in Large Language Models through Controlled Embedding Exploration" accepted to ICML 2025 as spotlight presentation, congratulations!
