A Letter From Justin

Hello Delegates!

My name is Justin Rivera and I am extremely honored to be serving as your chair for the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS)! I am so excited for everyone to experience a MUN conference at LAMP.

COPUOS is a general committee. Although space may be a frontier for endless possibilities, peace must be maintained, so don't get too wild. Collaboration will be necessary to maintain peace (meaning we will not be nuking everyone). COPUOS can definitely be a fun experience (if everyone participates) but it is definitely a more serious and structured committee if that is your thing.

A little about myself: I am a senior this year and have been doing MUN for years. I participate in Speech and Debate and primarily compete in Congress (the best event in speech and debate), LD, and Limited Prep events. I also participate in Mock Trial (as you all can tell I love to yap). I love cooking and baking (though I also love when people feed me!)

My goal is to make this the best year of COPUOS for LIMUN XL, I hope that you will help me in achieving it. I look forward to seeing the debates and solutions that all of you come up with this year.
