Lil zMac began the rollout for his highly anticipated mixtape Olympus on July 27, 2024, following a cryptic hint dropped in a now-deleted TikTok video on the night of July 14—just before the release of Side B of his earlier project, Life. After that teaser, he went quiet for months, resurfacing only once with the release of a single titled “ZEUS” in September.
Fans were later surprised with the appearance of Olympus' official page on SoundCloud, where it was announced the full project would drop in October.
The mixtape features 21 tracks, each inspired by mythological and symbolic themes:
Zeus, Underworld, Violent, Eclipse, Olympus, Medusa, Persephone, Athena, Poseidon, Icarus, Pandora’s Box (Interlude), Achilles, Oracle’s Prophecy, Siren Call, Trojan War, Muse of Poetry, Titan’s Rebellion, Golden Fleece, Elysium, Ascension of Olympus, and Outro.
At the time, Olympus stood as Lil zMac’s most experimental body of work—blending genres like Pop, Conscious Rap, Drill, Trap, Rage, and Melodic rap. Each track contributed to an overarching concept that wove Greek mythology into modern emotion and identity.
The closing track, “Outro,” features zMac speaking directly to listeners:
“Yeah, I made this album exactly an hour so if anyone wanted to listen to it, like, at 11:00 PM.”
In this final moment, he reflects on completing his first full-length project, giving thanks to his key producer M4LIK, and expressing gratitude to God, whose presence and influence are occasionally felt throughout the mixtape.
