Mission

The Lil’ Wildcat Education Center is committed to excellence and providing a delightful experience for customers while taking pride in the quality and integrity of staff and facilities. The Education Center is also dedicated to caring for and educating each child and family under care while bearing in mind that all are unique and will need and contribute in different ways.

About our Board of Directors


The Lil’ Wildcat Education Center Board of Directors consists of the following members:

  • Kimberly (Soyer) Whitaker. Kimberly is the Patient Finance Supervisor at an area hospital. She has a financial accounting background with strengths in customer service, leadership, organizational skills, and time management. She has a strong desire to sustain local resources for the future of the community. Phone: (712)830-6931.

  • Angela Lensch. Angela is an experienced educator (18 years). Her first Masters of Education is in Professional School Counseling. She completed a second master’s degree in Education- Curriculum and Instruction in Effective Teaching and Instructional Leadership. She is certified and has taught all age levels including Pre-K, Elementary, Middle School, High School, College, adults, and professionals. This covered the fields of counseling, psychology, anatomy, earth and life sciences, and technology. She served as the Education and Disabilities Coordinator at New Opportunities in Carroll, Iowa, where she oversaw 21 Head Start classrooms and parent educator staff's education and disability area needs. Currently, she is the Academics Manager at the Denison Job Corps, in Denison, Iowa, serving as principal and the disability coordinator of the Academic’s Department. Recently, she was given a gubernatorial appointment to the Early Childhood Iowa State Board and serves on the IAAEYC State Board as well. In 2013, she was chosen to be a top panelist peer reviewer by the U.S. Dept. of Ed. There she analyzed district-county applications for the Race to the Top Ed. grants. In 2015, she went to Chicago as a Master Education Specialist, working for Pearson. This included delivering professional development and technical assistance for school-based interventions.   • Christina Johnson. Christina has a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing and a minor in Spanish. She currently works as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit as well as serves as the Lead RN of the Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Team for a large hospital system. She also is an educator for a small community hospital providing education in neonatal and pediatric resuscitation.   • Jeremiah Johnson. Jeremiah has a background in budgeting and financial planning. He manages a retirement planning firm in Glidden Iowa. He has a Bachelor of Science in small business management and management information systems. Phone: (712)830-6279

  • William Reever - Will is a local farmer and small business owner in the Glidden community. After serving on many committees at Iowa State University, he has continued his leadership roles in Glidden being on the finance board of his local church and also a Masonic Lodge member.
