Pokémon Type: Ghost
What sets Ghost Types apart is that they have a past, a history that they can’t escape. That doesn’t necessarily mean a traumatic event. While some Ghosts are mournful or caught dwelling on old pains, others appear to be connected to a distant past of revelry. Ghosts are caught in a state of suspended animation. There is a consistency within them, which harkens back to some moment in time that made them who they are now. Some are obsessive about history, or about honoring their culture’s traditions. Others can’t stop reading books on Attachment Theory, and talking about how they absorbed their parents’ epigenetic trauma. They are at once both rooted and detached. Their existence reminds you time is not real.
Unlike some of the other emotionally-distant-seeming types, such as Ice and Psychic, Ghosts are not intentionally putting walls up between themselves and other people. In fact, they can be over-sharers, telling long stories about their pasts, bearing their most secret selves. There is something very vulnerable about them. Still, there is liminal veil between them and everyone else. The curse of Ghost Types is that they feel things very intensely, they hunger and yearn, and they understand the distant, root causes of many modern-day problems. Yet they can’t seem to fully connect to reality or feel anyone else reaching back at them. They make excellent poets, painters, story-tellers, fanfic writers, cultural historians, and museum curators.

Willow died really young, and has no memory of life. Because of how my ghost lore works, ghosts age until they turn 21 so her entire childhood / development was spent as a ghost. That being said, she never got to have that universal experience of living - and while she absolutely loves being a ghost - she longs to be able to understand because it's the one thing every one she loves has experienced and learned from and she's never been able to relate to that. This comes up in the music she writes a lot in various ways, whether it's being honest it bothers her or fronting like she's above it all but absolutely never comes up in conversation.
Adrian found her pretty much immediately (he was robbing her parents when she died), and took her in. While she loves him a lot, and he did the best he could, he was a shit parent. Arson was considered a child appropriate activity, stealing / messing with the living was considered a fun game, carjacking is normal, etc etc, and any time Adrian got overwhelmed he fucked off for a bit because she was a ghost and didn't technically need someone to take care of her to survive, so dipping until he felt like he could handle it again was fine in his mind. He's also only told her no a single time in her life, because of this Willow has a very skewed belief of "right" vs. "wrong" and is still learning what most people consider right and wrong.
Because Willow died as an infant, and has no memory of life, she views death as an extremely positive thing, bodies as "flesh prisons," etc etc. Her response when she found out her friend Melodi (another character of mine, will link when her page is up) was being abused was murdering her in order to "keep her safe for all eternity." This is a very muse's opinion does not equal mun's viewpoint, and honestly due to this I am extremely uncomfortable with writing her against muses that are dealing with suicidal ideation. She's learnt the concept that "being alive is actually the best thing for them" since then through interactions with living people who can see her, so definitely feel free to toss your living muses at her still because she won't kill them / hurt them or anything, but yeah.
Adrian named her Willow Abbott because it sounded cool (honestly she's lucky she didn't get named Maximus Prime or something absolutely stupid by him) because he's a dumbass and didn't bother looking into her name before taking her and adopting her. It's the only name she remembers / knows, so it's the name she goes by. I am aware most Turkish people even outside of Turkey have Turkish names, I ran it by a Turkish friend before naming her, and I exclusively use my own gifs for Willow.
Anyway Willow is my chaos child, yes arson - no chill vibes. I absolutely understand she's probably an acquired taste but she's genuinely a lot of fun to write.
Has an intense fear of abandonment but way too cool to tell you she cares about you directly (although she absolutely does try to show you indirectly via acts of service / affection), tends to deal with this fear by pulling people close then running away / ghosting without warning before popping up again like nothing ever happened. Also very prone to running away if you call her out on this instead of just rolling with it.
Willow is very cat coded, only wants affection when she initiates it, likes breaking things for no reason but chaos, doesn't always listen to instruction, prone to darting away the moment you become too much for her, absolutely will lash out and hurt you without meaning to (and beat herself up for it after the fact).
Tends to communicate between the lines a lot, she doesn't really say "I love you," "I'm sorry," etc etc and way more prone to showing you such things in actions. Also not likely to tell you what's wrong with her if you get an inkling she's upset, and quick to redirect to something fun. Communication isn't her strong suit.
If you have any questions, please feel free to dm me and I’ll be happy to answer them.
