LightSense Meter ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

LightSense Meter is designed to measure ambient light levels using the light sensor available on supported Android devices.

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.

The App does not require:

• User accounts

• Registration

• Login credentials

• Personal profiles

Device Sensors

The App uses the device's built-in ambient light sensor (Sensor.TYPE_LIGHT) to measure illuminance levels.

The App:

• Uses the light sensor only while measuring light levels.

• Does not access the camera for measurement.

• Does not capture photos or videos.

• Does not record audio.

Measurement Data

When you save a measurement session, the following information may be stored locally on your device:

• Measurement values (lx)

• Min/Avg/Max statistics

• Session duration

• Selected environment/room type

• Calibration settings

• Measurement history

This information is stored locally and is not transmitted to our servers.

Data Storage

All saved sessions and application settings are stored locally on your device.

Examples:

• Measurement history

• Theme preferences

• Calibration settings

• Default environment selection

You may delete your saved measurement history at any time from within the App.

CSV Export

If you choose to export measurement sessions as CSV files:

• Files are generated locally on your device.

• Exported files are shared only when you explicitly choose to share them.

• The App does not automatically upload exported files.

Permissions

Depending on your device and Android version, the App may request permissions required for normal operation.

The App does not request permissions for:

• Camera access

• Microphone access

• Contacts access

• Location access

• SMS access

unless such permissions are introduced in future versions and clearly disclosed.

Advertising

If advertisements are included in future versions of the App:

• Third-party advertising providers may collect limited technical information as described in their own privacy policies.

• We do not sell personal information.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect locally stored information.

However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services such as:

• Google Play Services

• Firebase (if enabled in future releases)

• Analytics providers (if enabled in future releases)

Any such services will be governed by their own privacy policies.

Accuracy Disclaimer

LightSense Meter provides light measurements for reference purposes only.

Results may vary depending on:

• Device hardware

• Sensor quality

• Sensor calibration

• Environmental conditions

The App is not intended to replace certified professional light measurement equipment.
